Will my cats use the cat box?

we just bought a house and was wondering if we could put the cat box in the garage and if our cats would use the doggie door to use their cat box? they both are in door cats..
Please help!

Your cats will most likely use the litter box in the garage if they know where it is. Make sure you take them there, maybe actually put them in the litter box, so they are sure where it is.
About the doggie door, it would be a good idea to put the cats through the door and show them the litter box several times so they get the feel on how to get to their box.

They might use the box in the garage if you persist and take them to it frequently…..and if they are USED to using a doggie door. However, if they aren’t used to a doggie door, chances are they won’t want to use it to get to the garage! If they’re used to using the box in the house, you should try to find somewhere inside to put it.
When you first move somewhere new it can confuse your pet. I would start by putting the cat box maybe near the doggie door but inside the house. Let them get used to it there. Then after a week or so try moving it to the garage.
If you teach them to use the doggy door they will use the litter box. Put them through the door and have someone on the other side show them the box. You must do this several times. They may have a more difficult time coming back in. My cat sneaks out of the house through the doggy door but waits on the front porch to come back in.
u must show ur cat repetetly where the box is by taking them to it and putting them in it and let them look around and when they look like they r looking for the box kind or push them throw the door and into the garage. They will eventually c that the box is in the garage and go there on there own.
If you live in a large house you may need more than one litter box. Put the litter boxes in places where your cats spend most of their time. Be sure to show them the litter box(es) by putting them in it/them. If your cats have to trudge all the way across the house to use the litter box, they may just choose not too, although, this isn’t very likely.
