Why does my cat jump in the bed with us around the 3-4 in the morning every morning?

During the day and evening hours the cat doesn’t want to be bothered with us he stays to himself. However around 3 in the morning he’ll jump in the bed, and start licking then bitting our faces. We’ll push him away and he’ll keep coming back.
I know sometimes around 5:30am he is ready to eat and I feed him but before that time what is his purporse?

That’s just what cats do. I think it’s in the cat handbook. Either close the bedroom door or get up and serve his highness
Lucky me, my cats don’t start in till about 5:30 am. Gotta love em!
That’s the cat’s clock. They are nocturnals. So the run around that time. And jump in your bed at that time, because… they know where it’s at! My cats do that too.
He wants food or wants to go out or something and you are sleeping. He didn’t come home with you for such poor room service. Remember, cats aren’t pets, we are their pets.
my cat does that too. i hate it but some times when i ignore him he eats plastic bags, i usually leave food out for him and he somewhat has stopped coming in my room. some cats are just that way or he could be bored and wants to play.
Cats are up at night more than you think and your kitty may want to play with you then, or want to be fed then. My kitty will come wake either me or my husband up, by meowing or biting our hands if her food bowl gets empty or if she wants attention will get on top of us at night and just cuddle. lol cats get into regular routines and most likely your pet will continue to do this to you.
My cat generally jumps into my bed around that time too, I always thought that it was because he knows that my little dog is dead asleep and it would be safer, It sounds as if this is a cat thing. Happily he doesn’t bother me. I will pet him a little and go back to sleep.
Our cats wake us during the night. Not always because they are hungry as we leave food in the bowl for them in case they want to eat. They do love attention and our cats will but us in the head to wake us up or pull our hair to get attention and love. It’s just their way.
technically cats are not nocturnal. They are crepuscular by nature – which is to say are most active during dawn and dusk. Their eyes were designed to be most accurate at those times, as they are able to capture the most amount of light in the darkness – but can not see in the dark.
This is the cat’s natural rhythm. It is what they were designed to do.
simple he wants ur attention, to b feed then or he wants his own spot,,my kitty did the same thing so i started leaveing dry food out for him to nibble on, hung cat toys that were soft & on elastisc strings so he could claw & play with em from door knobs and plant hangers , and last but not least gave him a pillow in the uper corner of our bed so he can sleep in his spot… now the only time he acts up is if im not in bed and he’s hunting me lol
