i don’t know about pure bred but most siamese cats are born to normal cats so it isn’t hard to find them in shelters

I’ve seen lots of siamese or siamese mixes in shelters and rescue groups.
If you want one from a breeder, ask around-vet, pet stores-for a reputable breeder in the area.
Don’t buy from a pet store, theirs are from kitten mills where the parents are treated like machines . Same with kittens offered online and shipped to you from who-knows-where.

look for a siamese pet rescue group. they have hundreds of siamese cats of all colors and ages that need a new forever home. google ‘siamese cat rescue’ where you will get all kinds of web sites that tell you all you need to know about getting started.
try petfinders
try the animal shelter in your area. they often have both pure-bred siamese or crosses which are just as nice.
if you contact a breeder, unless you plan to show, ask for a pet quality cat. they are wonderful kitties that for some reason can’t be shown.
as you will find out, there are hundreds of siamese without homes. please, please, please get this cat spay/neutered. don’t add to the misery of unwanted siamese. there are enough of these wonderful cats without a forever home.
these cats make wonderful companions and all have their own special personalities. many people who get one wouldn’t have any other breed.

Check out the shelters and cat rescues in your area..I often see Siamese cats there. If no luck there, contact a reputable breeder in your area.
First I recommend learning as much about the breed as possible. Try joining a Yahoo group, such as http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/SIAMESE/ where you will have the chance to learn from those that own this breed, breeders themselves, etc.
After you have done that avoid pet stores at all cost! If you want to rescue check http://www.siameserescue.org and http://www.petfinder.com. If you insist on buying from a breeder, choose a reputable breeder that has been recognized by the CFA (Cat Fanciers’ Assoc.) for being a top breeder, their breeder referral page is located at http://www.cfa.org/cbrs.html.
Good luck, there is nothing like the companionship of a meezer, but they do best in pairs!
