I use fresh step crystal litter, and its amazing.
We can stick our noses in our cats litter box and still not smell a thing.
It is a little bit more expensive then other litter, but well worth it.
We don't have to buy any sprays or air fresheners either.

i use the stuff you spray on the litter. it smells sooo good! lol
regular baking soda works wonders too
there are also litterboxes at petco that freshen and deodorize the litterbox
there is also a filter that you put near the litterbox at petsmart that filters out odors

hope this helped

Try a different litter or scoop more often. I have 9 cats and use the scoopable litter and when people come into my house they can't believe I have that many because they don't smell anything.
