There's no specific breed of cat that will definitely get along with dogs. It depends on the type of experiences that particular cat has with them. If you get an 8-10 week old kitten and introduce it slowly to the dogs, making sure that the interaction is always positive, never forced or stressful, and that the dogs don't inadvertently scare the kitten, the cat should grow up accepting dogs as a normal part of his or her environment. You're never guaranteed that the cat will willingly interact with the dogs, however. The best you can hope for is that they'll simply live together peacefully. If the get along well, interact regularly, or even play together, then that's a plus. And as long as you keep the cat safely indoors and keep tags including a current address/phone number on him or her, you shouldn't have to worry about the cat running away.

I have found that it is not so much the breed but the personality of the cat in determining whether or not the cat will like the dogs. Also, the size of the dogs is something else to consider. Our ragdoll isn't too thrilled with the dogs we have...but our black DSH wrestles with the daschund and wins! You also have to work on slowly introducing the cat to the dogs. Good luck.

well i had 3 kittens and they grew up next to the dogs and they dont run away they just rub against them. So buy a cat as a baby and make sure he gets along with your dogs from a young age. Although not sure if your dogs will like the new cats

As long as the cat is raised with dogs, it'll be okay. I've had several cats of different breeds live with my dogs over the years, and breed has nothing to do with it.
My Golden Retriever even adopted a teeny kitten as her own. She nursed the tiny kitty and took care of him until he grew up. They still sleep together in her dog bed.
Which brings up my next point, it depends on the dogs as well. Are your dogs cat friendly?

As long as you bring home a kitten and the kitty grows up with the dogs. All should be fine. Cats and dogs are great with each other when brought up together. All the best;^)

It doesn't matter what breed the cat is. The individual cat's personality is going to determine whether or not it will get along with your dogs.
