If nothing works it might just be the way your cat is. My cat is now 4 yrs old and she still doesn't really like to play and I got her when she was 8 weeks. She can only play with an electronic moving toy.When I did play with her, I would use a string and she would chase it but in less than 30 seconds she would figure out that my hand was controlling it and would chase my hand instead.
