I’m just getting my cat today. My brother and I picked him out yesterday. I fell in love with her instantly. She is so sweet and social. My brother wasn’t so convinced because she didn’t like to play with little balls as much as the other ones did. She’s a year old. What toy can i get to make sure she’ll be fun and play.? ?

Cats love catnip..you might want to consider toys that are filled w/ catnip, the scent drives them crazy. If nothing works it might just be the way your cat is. My cat is now 4 yrs old and she still doesn’t really like to play and I got her when she was 8 weeks. She can only play with an electronic moving toy. When I did play with her, I would use a string and she would chase it but in less than 30 seconds she would figure out that my hand was controlling it and would chase my hand instead. She’s just too smart too play anything involving me. lol
My cat loves to play with catnip. I don’t know why.. She just loves to jump around in it.
And string.
anything with catnip and try string toys some cats dont like balls as much as others they also like different textures so try soft toys or the paper ones make sure there laced with catnip though itll encourage them to play keep in mind some cats dont like toys at all my boy loves to play with pens and the light toy you can get also try those
Well, my cat is about 30lbs. and loves to play with strings…try to get her something thats dangeling so that she can always have it to play with..or even the old yarn ball. =] lol
Strings are good, but don’t leave her alone with them because some cats want to eat the string and that can kill them. I have a little stuffed mouse toy that my cats love to play with. Don’t get any toy she can chew pieces off of and choke.
My brother and I picked HIM out yesterday.
Here are some our cat likes.
1) Wand with bird feathers on them. She loves it.
2) Little plush bird or mouse toy with string at the end. If I go in circles with it, the cat will chase it until she’s tired.
3) Remote control cat toy mouse. Our cat loved chasing this thing. But I could only play with it in the kitchen because carpet fibers catch in the gears and jam it up.
4) Large Cardboard box with entrance and exit holes in it. She likes to use it as playhouse and fort.
5) We bought a baby blanket from a thrift shop and our cat loves to jump in it on it under it and sometimes just sleep on it.
6) Shoelace. It turns out the cheapest thing of all is her favorite.
I think catnip is awesome for cats but always wonder if it’s good for them.. I’m sure it’s fine..
