What is the best way to litter box train a kitten?
I’ve tried putting him in it multiple times and I keep him in a carrier when I go to bed and when I am gone so he doesn’t go anywhere in the apartment. He has a litter box in his carrier but rarely uses that one either. How do I solve this problem?

keep the cat in a small room with the litter box in it and every time it tries to pee on the floor move it to the box. but my cat just went straight to the box on its own. But make sure not to move the litter box when you let your cat roam around your house because it might not be able to find it.
Part of the problem may be that you are forcing him to sleep in the carrier with the litter tray in there. Cats do not usually sleep near their litter trays, and he may have associated the litter with his sleeping place, and thus unlikely to want to "go" there.
Other than that, you need to make sure the litter is in a) a quiet location and b) not close to any water source.
