treats didn’t do it for my cat either. but when i took out some opened tuna fish he came back down…of course you can call animal control as several other people have suggested!
Call fire department.
call animal control. This is what they do. Or the fired department and ask them what should be done.
any type of handgun or shotgun
fire department
Spray the tree and cat with a waterhose
get the fire department or sonmebofy because you cant get the job done withount injuring yourself
IF YOU LEAVE HER ALONE, SHE WILL COME DOWN EVENTUALLY, OR YOU COULD THROW A DOG UP THERE.
I would call animal control or the fire station. They should be able to help. My big concern if she keeps climbing she might get to high to reach and be to scared to come down. Best of Luck.
put the food on the ground and go watch TV…. she will come down on her own time… cats are ornery creatures.
what you should do is try to go up in the tree (not very high) and shake the treats to get her attention. you should toss one up to her so she can eat it and then shake the bag again. sorry to here about your cat! you must be soooo worried!
How tall is the tree? I once had to pull a truck up under the tree so we could stand on the top to reach it.
let it calm down it will come down on its own it may seem like it doesnt no how but it does and it will come down when it feels like its safe so just let it let it no every things is ok maybe leave it alone for a lil bit.
Maybe there’s just something in the tree that keeps your cat from going down. Try to go up again and take a look. If nothing’s there and your cat won’t still get down, maybe you have to call some helper. Or bring your cat’s favorite thing to play, like maybe yarns, etc.
While I have very little use the destructive vermin that so many people call cats, they are not totally stupid. Your cat went up the tree for a reason and will come down for a reason. Probably when it gets hungry enough.
I’m not trying to sound cruel, but the best way to get her down is to turn the hose on her. ideally a bucket of water is better, but she may be too high for that. cats hate water, and getting her wet should upset her enough that she will get down and hide. i have had to do this more than once, and water worked the best for me.
if you still can’t get her down, then definitely call the humane society, they should be able to tell you who can get her down.
good luck
Call the fire brigade?
call the fire department
Put an opened can of tuna at the bottom.
Then leave her alone. You may be scaring her with all the shaking and yelling.
They can go for three days in trees with no ill effects and most of them do get down on their own.
I’ve heard the fire department may help in a case like this. If you live in a small community, that may be a possibility. Other than that, she should come down when she’s hungry. Good luck…I hope she comes down soon.
Cut down the tree. Sorry, I could not resist. The water hose sounds pretty good. You can get those high pressure adapters for Home Depot etc if you need more distance.
Call the fire department, they do that all the time.
