What is a really great cat litter brand?

I have just been using some crappy cheapo brand of cat litter thinking it didn’t really matter. But this "clumping" litter doesn’t clump as much as it breaks into a million little pieces that make cleaning a huge chore. And the pee turns into like thick wet mud which is disgusting and difficult to clean.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a good brand? I have 4 indoor cats, so we go through alot of it and I sure would love something that made my job easier lol.

The best clumping I’ve found is Fresh Step Multiple Cats Clumping formula. I’ve got two cats sharing one box and I scoop twice a day. Everything always comes out in nice clean clumps. No breakage and no mud. I’ve tried a lot of clay and non-clay brands, and I have to say the Fresh Step is the winner in my house.

believe it or not Giant Eagle brands works the best out of Tidy cat , special kitty and ever pet.. I had an expereament on it and those where the 4 brands we tested.
I have 2 cats and so far the best is "worlds Best Cat Litter" It is not cheap, but actually it is considering you dont have to use much litter, and the best is you can scoop the poo and pee and it clumps and can be flushed down the toilet.
A less expensive option is Tidy Cats Small Spaces cat litter. I am hooked on Worlds Best, but before that, we were using Tidy cats.
I have 2 cats and I use Tidy Cat Scoop for Multiple Cats. It is absolutely the only thing I use as I live in a small apartment and can’t "ignore" the litter for very long! I scoop 2-3 times a day and the "clumps" hold up well, so the litter stays pretty clean for about 5-7 days. Hope that helps!

If you prefer clay litter I really like Dr. Elsy’s Ultra Precious cat litter. It does not have fragrance, but still works well for odor control. Also it is very low dust and the best part is that it makes firm clumps.
I don’t know what country you are in, but the best brand in Australia is Catsan Clumping Cat Litter. It is the really fine clay litter. It lasts the longest, smells the least and it’s easy to remove the clumps.
I have multi cats and I use K_Mart clumpable litter. I get 40 pounds with a delicate smell, and it lasts long. I have over 15 cats, low oder, not too expensive as it lasts long, and you can get smaller containers. Low tracking.
