What does it mean when a person is unable to commit to having a pet cat?

If someone is afraid to commit to having one pet cat, is it safe to assume that they are probably also afraid of committing to having 4 pet cats, a pet dog, a hamster and two kids, too?

I could commit to everything except the hamster. He’d have to have frosting.
But, unfortunately, you might be right. If this person can’t commit to one cat, I think the rest might terrify them. Then again, you never know. Maybe once this person sees how happy the cats, dog, kid, hamster, wombat, tapeworm, etc. are they would change their mind.
I would have to agree. That’s quite a commitment.
No. Maybe he just doesn’t want the responsibility of taking care of it. That doesn’t mean anything. Don’t read into it.
Well, "someone" doesn’t sound like either an animal or a kid person, so if I were your friend, then I would find someone else who enjoys pets and kids.
Many people do not want animals in the house. Kids are different. I would never consent to the cats (maybe the dog, but the the hamster, either). But someones kids are just an entirely different story.
They HATE CATS
I think its just a fear of commitment with that particular person. its obviously a long term commitment to buy a cat and if they don’t want to do that, then they probally don’t see themselves with that person for that long. I think it doesn’t matter what it is or how many, its a question of the relationship. If someone is commited to someone, if it really matters, they will deal with whatever
It means that Wonder needs to commit more time to licking their delicate nether-regions to convince them of the benefits of cat ownership.
Incidentally, have I mentioned that I am unable to commit to having a pet cat?
*cries*
I’ll pet your cat
*cries*
Cats are easy to take care of. Throw them a couple of mice and a box of sand and they are set.
What? not want a sweet little kitty. For shame *cries*. Poor little kitties. they will be afraid, very afraid to commit. LMAO
Who’s this friend of yours? Let me talk to them. Who wouldn’t want to commit to me. Just because I get a little testy when my raw meat isn’t ready, that’s no reason not to love me.
(rolls over and plays with what’s left of the dog collar)
Someone doesn’t want a cat! *Cries for all the poor homeless kitties.* Personally, I think they need their head examined if they don’t want a cat. If they can’t take care of a cat they can’t take care of those other critters either. *Cries for kitties and other critters*
