Cats will be cats…and not one is the same. Almost every cat has some strange behavior it posesses. Want examples?… My best friend has 6 cats…Kit-Kat meows randomly and looks like a bobble-head when you scratch her back. Newbie drinks out of the faucet and runs nonstop around the whole entire house until someone notices him. Oreo will sit in a different place every two minutes and STARE at you..and at night if you let him in the room with you, you’re hair will be soaked in the morning! Hobbs will rub up on anything…but I’m pretty sure he’s gotta have some brain damage, because he’ll smack his head on walls pretty hard when he’s trying to rub against it…it’s weird. Merlin weirds me out..he’ll nibble on you…it’s not like chewing, or playing, or biting…it’s like he’s sucking on you…..he’s a creeper….then there’s Pepper, your average cat. Meows, rolls around on the carpet, rubs on you for attention, crawls up in your lap…etc. Cats are all really weird to me, but I love them!
He sounds like my old Siamese. Does he have any Siamese genes in him? They’re great talkers and their "voices" can sound like toddlers’. And no…you probably aren’t going to curb the behavior. He’s not being strange, just himself. As he gets older he may stop but I doubt it. My Siamese was still "talking" to me right up until she died at 18.
FYI, thats not possibel
it might just be your imagionation
well since sister doesn’t want to play with him get him a play mate.
I have a five year old Persian male, he does the same thing. He has always talked ….. He actually gets it from his father he also does it….. He talks when he is looking for the other cats in the house or he seems to be trying to tell me something. I don’t think there is much you can do about it, thats just your cats personality.
My cat does the same thing. If he wants attention he’ll meow for a long time, and then if I’m walking he’ll try and trip me. When I come home from work it’s always these really quick meows. He’s just a big baby.
My cat talks as well – CONSTANTLY. She sounds like a child crying. She meows when she’s hungry, full, happy, unhappy, wants attention or if I’m playing and petting with her. Some kitties are just vocal. I think it’s absolutely adorable but if the meowing really bothers you then the best thing to do is ignore him when he does it and pay attention and give him more affection when he’s quiet. My cat does the wild dashes around the house as well, I think all cats do – the witching hour I’ve heard it called – my cat does this at 6am everyday, I don’t even need an alarm clock – at about 6am I will have a 7 pound cat stomping on my ribs. Good luck.
