My 3 year old female cat gets restless in the winter, because she is such an outdoor cat. so she channels that restlessness on the furniture!! my mom is getting REALLY mad and she says if I don’t find a solution she wants to get rid of the cat! we have a scratching post for her, and we’ve trained her to use it. we use couch covers, anti-scratching spray, and nothing really seems to work. de-clawing is not an option, because her whole life is practically outside and she would be defenseless. what should i do i love my cat to death!

For some reason, my neighborhood is thoroughly run over with feral cats…none of them are friendly…and even hiss at you from time to time if you get to close. Our household has a real outdoor cat, whom we bring inside at night since he’s gotten very old. Unfortunately though he doesn’t always show up at night, and several times we have had to take him to the vet from serious injuries and bites he has gotten. He stay around the house and is fixed so we know any cat fights that he gets into aren’t his fault, plus he’s old so he really doesn’t want anything to do with other cats. However, since we feed him outdoors when he is hungry we have attracted some unwanted feral cats and one of them is noticably pregnant….I feel extremely bad for them, but after my mom and i found out that the cats helped themselves to our beautiful koi fish in our pond….that even had a net on it…they are going one way or another now….i have a very angry brother and he is less accomadating than myself…and i’m afraid if i can’t catch them, then he will shoot them instead….can anyone explain to me how i can catch these cats??? i’ve tried numerous times to conact animal control in my area and it hasn’t worked….
I would prefer to catch the female cat that is pregnant and give her kittens to someone who needs them…but if i don’t catch the mom they will just become wild as well…we really have a huge problem because there is several neighborhood cats that come around as well…and our solution starting today is not to put any more food out, and just bring our cat in when he wants to eat…
our outdoor cat…is an outdoor cat…because he doesn’t want to be indoors…he likes being outside…so if he gets beaten up by some feral cats..then the feral cats are the problem not him

My mom wants to know why our cat names Sox keeps pooping on the floor.The girl cat named Bell poops inside but the boy doesn’t. My mom says that he beside the litter box. And she wants to know why? Is their something wrong with the cat or what.Please make a answer toward the question. Thanx
The Boy cat is bigger than the girl & he use to poop inside it without a problem.

My other male cat is fixed and i don’t want to fix this one before he has had at least one litter i have heard that the heat period is shorter if the female just mated but then again my mom might not let him mate yet.
He is meowing more then usual and very loudly now it started i think sunday so the female might be in heat

i have a black persian cat thats a little less than two years old.
well sometimes my mom leaves her room and i guess my persian cat just jumps on her bed a pisses. but my mom wants to get rid of him. he has been neutered and is not spraying..are there any products or specialists i can see cause i really dont want to get rid of my cat but the problem seems to be reoccuring.

I have a female cat named Gina. I don’t know her age but she is not a kitten. She seems like a young adult cat. Just recently I went to Pet-Co to buy her a brush because she is a stray. So I convince my parents to let me buy it, but she wont let me brush her because she is not used to it.( I got this cat about 2 months and a half-ago) so any ways, I was at Pet-Co and I saw this adorable cat for adoption! His name was Kiko, male, tabby kitten,3 months old, who was sprayed and had all vaccinations. My parents are 54(my mom) and 51(my dad) and they are OLD COOTS! They have no patience and are hard headed and stubborn when I try to explain something to them. So, I ask them if I can keep my stray(Gina) and Kiko. They say no and get mad at me for trying to reason with them. I also wanted both of them to be trained in a litter box and be house cats. Then my mom says no, start yelling at me, and she tells me that that’s gross and it takes too much work. I don’t understand! I told her I would take care of it, I will clean it, throw it out, buy new sand, and all that but still no. I will buy the cat towers for them to play on, food,love, and play with them every chance I have available. Since they said no, I thought about maybe giving away Gina to my friend who wants a cat. So I can give Gina a home, and Kiko a home. I feel bad for leaving Gina because she is an awesome cat but my parents are just too stubborn. How do I convince them to let me have at least Kiko, or both?
Ive tried telling them. As soon as I try telling them the facts they say "I don’t want to hear it" and leave. I try to speak to them but they just tell me to leave them alone. I can’t wait to get the hell out of my house. I CANT DO ANYTHING!!!!

I recently adopted a kitten from one of my uncle’s friends. I tried training him to use the litter box by putting him in and using his paw to scratch the litter. He will just try to get out and not use it. Before we got him, the owner said he would follow his brothers and sister with the mom outside to go potty and came back inside. How can I teach him?

my parents are moving to a house in the middle of the woods, and my mom has gotten herself a new little cat, its not fixed yet and still has its nails. so she has to make a choice to get it fixed and keep the nails to let it go outside, or just make it an in door cat and get it fixed and denail it. the thing about it being an outside cat is, it can run away for days, theres other animal out there and trees everywhere!

so i guess im just looking for some pros and cons and others thoughts about this. thanks!

the book is a present for my mom, she used to read it to me when i was little. it tells of a black cat that somehow destroys a witch’s tower and then becomes the town hero. i think his name might have been Olaf. Please help if you can.
