I’m a adopting a female calico kitten. She is very sweet and seems to like me. I have been calling her Calli until my mom accidentally called her Cloe. Now I can’t decide what to name her! Please help!

is there a time limit on how long a cat should play with catnip. is it bad for them?? we never gave our childhood cat catnip….but now that i have my own she isnt going outside right now so i bought her a catnip mouse. She likes it alot, but i dont know if its bad if she plays with it too much.

my cat is coming to our second house with us for the first time and we dont have enough time to buy a cat carrier. I know my cat doesnt like the car because we took him to get a rabies vaccine and he hid under the car seat. Also, how can we get him used to the new house since he has never really left my house for that long, his mom is my other cat so he was born at my house

On sunday I took my cat Pepper to the vet cause she was sick and brought her back home.She peed in the carrier but on her bed but it soaked thru. Pepper died Wednesday of pneumonia.

So i’m thinking about getting a cat. & my mom are trying to know more about the responsibility of it before our minds are made up. Anyways one of my friends said its really difficult with the cat litter box because it smells really bad & its hard to clean. Is it true?
My family adopted this stray cat (a couple of years ago), and after we had him for a little while, he started peeing on our furniture/carpet. We first showed him the litter box, just to make sure he knew it was there and what it was for, that didn’t help. We got him neutered, that helped for a while, but he started peeing again. We tried rubbing his nose in it and yelling at him when we would catch him, that didn’t help.
Recently he has been peeing on the same thing over and over again, an odomen (sp?) in the living room. I have been researching about how to get him stop, and I really believe it is behavioral, but i don’t think he is being territorial with this surface because he doesn’t sleep on it at all and he is very capable of accessing it. He usually sleeps on my mom’s side of the couch or in the cat tower next to it, but he never pees on those. BTW I don’t think the problem is physiological, but it is not completely ruled out.
I don’t think he pees on it to say he is mad at anyone because nobody ever uses it, so he can’t associate it with anyone in the house. The litter box is cleaned constantly as two other cats live in the house, we have two boxes. I also don’t think he is trying to say anything to other cats either, i think he already thinks he is the dominate one in the house.
What do I do? I am sick of the smell. I find it very embarrassing and don’t let people come into my home because I don’t want them to smell my naughty cat. I want to get rid of him, but my mom loves him, and she is the only one he likes. I won’t get rid of him if he stops, but i just can’t take his piss anymore. All these years of smelling cat pee is freaking disgusting.
We have 7 month old kittens, My mom though it was time to move their litter to the bathroom instead my room,But they wouldn’t do their business where the litter is. When I woke this morning they did their business in my room. How do you get them used to having their litter box in another room or I should wait a little longer or keep the litter as it.
