Hi, I have a 6 month old Domestic Long Hair Male cat. He’s affectionate, playful, and intelligent. He is trained to go to the bathroom in the litter box. We have two litter boxes inside the house and he uses them perfectly, but for some reason when he poops it either doesn’t come out fully or snags onto his super fluffy tail. Then when he steps out the litter box it ends up falling on the carpet or somewhere else. What do I do about this?

I have this 2 year old female cat, and she just will not use the litter box to poop in. She pees in it but will not poop in it. I’ve tried multiple things to try to get her to use it (2 litter boxes, different cat litters, placing her food far away from the litter boxes) but nothing works. My mom has had it with her and is threatening to get rid of her if she doesn’t start using the litter box. Please help, I don’t want to have to get rid of her for this.

My cat is having problems using the litter box again. This has happened once before but the problem went away. Now it is back and my is family adamant on getting rid of her this time. Is there anyway we can help remedy this? She was our first cat and I don’t like the idea of getting rid of a cat without trying to help them just because your are frustrated.
She doesn’t just go in one place but does it all over the house and we have two different litter boxes for her.

I don’t have a cat but I want to get one. The only thing I just don’t really get about litter boxes is that when your cat goes and does his business you go in and scoop it out right? Well I understand that you pick up their stuff but when you pick it up doesn’t it leave behind germs and then the cat when it comes back steps all over that even though there is no poop but the little particles are left behind. So they step on that and then walk all over the house. How is that sanitary?

are there litter and litter boxes(bathroom box) for dogs? if so, how long does it take to train? it would be a nice substitute for dog walking( bathroom purposes).
i currently owned a cat and am pleased with their bathroom savvyness. i might wanna hold off on considering a dog if they can’t do this and i have to pick up after them all the time.
why the heck do i see people walk the dog both in real life and movies for bathroom purposes so often? maybe its a misconception that dogs like can’t use litter box.

I know he was taken from his mother too soon, I think 5 weeks old and he was the runt and i just don’t think she got to him or something yet. I got him when he was 7 weeks old and he’ll use the litter box occasionally. I’ve tried a few methods. I keep him in the bathroom for a few hours at night with some toys, his food and water, and his litter box and of course he’ll use it then. But when he’s out running around he seems to forget about his litter box or something and pees and poops anywhere he wants. I even about every hour or so bring him to his litter box to see if he has to go. Seldom does he when I do that though. Any other suggestions? And yes his litter box is always clean, I clean it everyday.
I do have two more cats, but they all use their own litter boxes including him. I don’t like to leave him in the bathroom too long because he’s young and needs to be able to run around.

I have three cats. 2 litter boxes. One of the cats would occasionally poop outside the litter box and latelly she has been doing it all the time and has even peed. it’s never right outside the litter box but it’s always in the same room. Why is she doing this and how do I get her to stop?

I was just wondering if she will be in too much pain to go in her litter box (we stay in a 10 story apartment so it is very unpractical to take her outside to eliminate and I don’t care if you don’t like litter boxes. If you don’t like them then you come to my apartment to take her outside to eliminate all the time.) Also, how long will she be in pain after the surgery? A few days? A week or two? What else should I expect?

My mom is a senior and getting more frail as she ages. She has two cats and two litter boxes, but she’s having more and more difficulty dumping the cat litter into a plastic bag and then getting it to the curb for garbage pick up. Liners don’t work, besides the bag would still need to be picked up and brought outside. The cat will go on the carpet before using clumping litter. I thought of elevating the box so it could be tilted to empty without having to lift the box, but the cat won’t go for it and the bag would still need to be brought outside.
Any suggestions?

Our basement floods this time of year. One litter box is located on the dry part of the floor; there are other litter boxes in other areas of the house. My new cat pees in all the litter boxes, but chooses to poop in the 1/4 inch or so of water in the wet area of the basement.
