My kitten is nine months old. I got him when he was three months and he always used his litter box. Lately he has refused to use it. He will pee in the litter box, but he poops on the floor inches from his box. I scoop the litter box daily so it never gets full. I am very frustrated and I don’t know why he all of a sudden stopped or how to get him to start using it again.

This question is in regard to my new cat, Vincent. I recently adopted him (he was a stray at animal control) and he hates his carrier. He hates it even more when I turn on the car! He cries the whole time and scratches trying to get out. Worst of all, he had defecated in his carrier and once even urinated and defecated at once. This is horrible for both of us! I have to clean it all up, and then he has to get a bath, which makes him even more upset than he already is. Any suggestions to alleviate his stress/reduce the elimination in the carrier?
I certainly don’t take him in the car for fun….these incidents are soley on visits to/from the vet. He’s a good boy about the litter box at home though.

I have an 8 week old Pomeranian. I would like it to be able to use a litter box since I work during the day.

Hi I was wondering what brand/type of cat litter everyone uses? I have been useing fresh step, but everytime i clean hte litter box -I use half a box of fresh step litter. Is there any cheaper litter that is just as effective? I find that tidy cat stinks really bad, and burns my nose. Thanks everyone
yes I use clump scoopable litter. But sometimes the pee litter breaks up. So i do a complete change. i scoop the litter twice a day.

please only answer this question if you know what a rodent litter box looks like. you know the ones you clip on their cage and there is no litter.
my bunny only uses her box when i put her food in it. and then she tips her food and i only feed her once a day because she will get overweight if i feed her more then that. she is a small breed of rabbit, a mini rex. how can i train her to use her litter box without putting her food on top?
p.s. i already put the box in the corner she goes to the bathroom the most.
by the way the tray of the litter box is covered by wires, so she an’t get to anything inside th tray.

I asked about the stray a few minutes ago and I’m also worried about fleas and other problems with bringing a stray cat into my home. I don’t want my other cat to have to suffer for it. Also, are two cats better than one (for each other I mean)? Do they share a litter box and share food and everything (after the stray grows old enough to eat adult cat food, I mean)?

Hello,
I’ve been considering buying a dog (probably a pup since it’ll be easier to train) and want to train it to use a litter box. I don’t want to scoop after a dog every now and then and want help in training it. If any of you knows a way to train a dog to use a litter box please let me know.
Thank You.

I’ve tried putting him in it multiple times and I keep him in a carrier when I go to bed and when I am gone so he doesn’t go anywhere in the apartment. He has a litter box in his carrier but rarely uses that one either. How do I solve this problem?

My cat is 18lbs, but very healthy! She uses her litter box to go pee all the time, but will only poo in it once. If I don’t scoop that up before she has to poo again she’ll go on the floor. I’ve been told to get a bigger litter box, but I can’t find any. I live in Germany on a small army base, so they don’t really offer things like that. What do I do??? Help please!
