…but it really hurts! I actually have scars on my arm now from him. The worst thing he’s ever done was when I was sitting at the computer, and he wanted to sit up with me, so Noah jumped up on my arm which was laying on my lap, lost his balance, and dug his nails BIG TIME into my arm. What can I do? I can’t just alltogether have him learn not to sit up with me, because I love it when he does. I just need a solution to the nails. Yes, I’ve tried trimming them, and have, but he really doesn’t like it and he tears me up in the process. Let alone, the fragmented fingernails are pretty close to as bad as having full fails.

My other problem is also him exercising or pulling his nails on stuff. He pulls up the carpet!! I have a scratching post, and he’s got that thing into threads, but lately he hasen’t been using it!! It’s still in-tact and he’s still able to pull his nails with it, but.. he doesn’t. Mabye he like pulling horizontally opposed to vertically now? I don’t know.

Any suggestion onto what I should do in each of these scenarios? As I always say, and still adhere to: All help is greatly appreciated!

What do I do? My new neighbor is attracting blackbirds, mourning doves etc. with his bird feeders and bread crumbs, don’t get me wrong, I love birds too, but they are everwhere! They perch all over the top of my trailer roof and t.v. antenna pecking and pooping…everywhere. I have bird seed in my washer and dryer vent AND he sweeps off his area over to mine! OMG! I tried talking to the old fart as he was filling up bird feeder and he just ignored me. I asked him if he would please put them on the other side of his trailer and he said he would not be able to see them then. GRRR
Oh, and since he has put bread crumbs out I now have a stray cat living under my trailer, what next? A skunk or a coyote? HELP!

Interbreed is what the man said, my
error. As far as saying that different species of wild cats, that’s what my question is. It may have happened over hundreds of thousands of years. Cats are in the order Felidae.
Lion is of the species Panthera.
Then there are subspecies of wild or feral cats.

I think it’s interesting to see what different people think, and tell me a bit about your background too – where do you live, what pets do you have, what experience/knowledge do you have with/of feral cats.
I find your answers interesting, I’m assuming you are all in America, here in Australia we veiw them a lot differently, and the norm is to catch and euthanise, rather than spay/release. I’m trying to figure out why, I think something like we care about our native wildlife more, like our culture is based on it or something … Neuter and release would still result in 20 or so animals dieing every night at the claws of that cat. I used to be for the killing of them, but then I saw it happening, and the poor thing was crouching scared in the cage – it was horrible. But now I am stuck with conflicting ideas … because I still care about all them native animals…
Obviously I can’t chose a best answer on your opinions, so yeah …
