What do you think about them? What do you think should be done about/to them?

I think it’s interesting to see what different people think, and tell me a bit about your background too – where do you live, what pets do you have, what experience/knowledge do you have with/of feral cats.
I find your answers interesting, I’m assuming you are all in America, here in Australia we veiw them a lot differently, and the norm is to catch and euthanise, rather than spay/release. I’m trying to figure out why, I think something like we care about our native wildlife more, like our culture is based on it or something … Neuter and release would still result in 20 or so animals dieing every night at the claws of that cat. I used to be for the killing of them, but then I saw it happening, and the poor thing was crouching scared in the cage – it was horrible. But now I am stuck with conflicting ideas … because I still care about all them native animals…
Obviously I can’t chose a best answer on your opinions, so yeah …

Or a bjorn, carrier, etc. I was waiting in line at the library. A guy behind me had a black cat in a snugli. The mom behind him asked if her kids could pet it. Would you let your kids?

Not to mention I would assume the library wouldnt allow pets that werent say service pets. Or I was wondering if this was some new Paris Hilton dog in the purse type fad.

What do you use to play with your older cat? I have a 12 year old and we play with a wand. She has a tree, but only likes the bottom floor of it. I’m shopping for some new toys and was wondering what other pet parents thought I should buy. She’s REALLY picky.
The kittens play with anything, so I’ll just get whatever is cute for them.

I got: a toy that has a paper bag inside (she loves it) a laser light, a new cat tree where she can hide, and cat nip mice. I hadn’t thought of the paper bag or laser light, thanks!

Or what I should do? He’s been acting very strange lately, and with the heatwave we are having he hasn’t been outside , eating very little. Drinking some water, on his few forays outside he’s started eating grass and licking this rusted fence.
