I have two healthy, young cats, 1 1/2 years old. When I adopted them, they had all their important shots and de-worming. I haven’t taken them to the vet because it’s nearly impossible to get them inside their cat carrier (I end up with bloody hands!). Since they are young, healthy, indoor cats, is it ok to not get their yearly shots?

I just adopted two kittens from the animal shelter. The boy kitten is about 8 weeks old and is litterbox trained. However, he INSISTS on using the bathtub as a litterbox. He knows where the litterbox is kept and uses it when I put him in it, but if the bathroom door is open, he uses the tub instead. He also used the mop bucket once until I turned it upside down. A friend suggested placing the litterbox in the tub and gradually moving the box into another room. Will this work though? I don’t want to give him the impression that it’s okay to use the bathtub. How should I go about fixing this problem?
We keep two litterboxes on opposite ends of the house since we have three indoor cats now. One is in the guest bedroom and the other is in my bedroom for them to use at night.

Is there something wrong with regular cat food that’s bad for indoor cats? Why can’t it all be the same?

What should I do? There is a stray cat who hangs out at my house and is used to hanging out with my 3 cats. I haven’t been feeding it, but its been around so long that I don’t think it’ll ever leave.
I don’t want to bring it to the pound because they’ll probably end up killing it. Do I take it and leave it somewhere else, like at a strip mall where there are restaurants with dumpsters full of food? I feel guilty having to think about that, but whenever it hangs out with my cats, it gives them conjunctivitis. My personal cat of the 3, already has a slightly cloudy cornea when looked at an angle. Not sure if means that it has received irreversible damage. I believe that others living in the house have been feeeding it food, but I have told them not to, so it’ll be forced to go away. As of now, it’ll be 2 days that I haven’t personally fed it and the cat must be starving cause it is practically at my feet meowing whenever it sees me eating anything. What should I do?
also i’m not sure if it belongs to someone else? It isn’t malnourished/skinny, but if size is one true indication of health, it hasn’t been keeping up to my cats…although SHE is as small as our smallest cat. (1 grey big brother, 1 grey medium sister, 1 small persian-looking sister). They were strays rescued from my father’s work. Their mother gave birth to another larger litter of 6 and my dad "rescued" them and brought them to the pound, not realizing that they were going to be put down. In essence he killed our cats siblings.
My cats are indoor cats…the stray approaches me when i’m out in the yard or the garage. How do I know if she has an owner, just one that doesn’t leave a big giant bowl of cat food out like I do?…like a supplementary source of food?

Ok I have the litter boxes in the garage in a dog cage butted up to the door with a doggie door so they are protected from the dogs harrassing them while they use the litter box but I have one cat who refuses to go out there he would rather go under the fish tank or behind the couch or at the base of the cat tree. GRRRRRR any suggesstions we are in the process of boarding up the back of the fish tank and lockin gup the cabinets cause he actually opens the cabinets instead of walking thru the back that is open(dingbat) He is a great cat and very sweet but I can’t steam clean every day.
i have the litter boxes outside in the garage because I have 3 cats and dont want the smell, I cant put it outside any where cause they are STRICTLY indoor cats the other two use it no problem I think he has never been trained to use one because we took in him and his sister and his sister used to pee right in the middle of the floor we found his sister a home where she was the only cat and she was fine. He used to use the litter box alright not consistently but he has pretty much stopped what worse is he doesn’t do his business in front of me I had one that would wait till I was looking at him and he would pee on the couch he went to the vet and had a uti. But this one has a clean bill of health no problems just would rather use inside than out. I have heard they dont like pine sent or amonia so that I can put small caps with amonia in them where I dont want him to go or pine cones. Does this work?

There is this stray cat that comes around our house, we feed it on a daily bases. Its original owner decided they didn’t want it so they threw it out on to the streets. We currently have two 7 year old cats that aren’t a big fan of other cats and are very shy. The stray is about 2 years old, we want to take in the stray, but we wouldn’t be able to let it out because the other two cats are indoor cats. So is it possible to turn an outdoor cat into an indoor cat?

I just moved into a house. I have 3 indoor cats. There is a neighborhood stray who has seen them and has been at my front door spraying on the security door and even sprayed on my front window. What can I do to stop this?
I am not able to catch the cat in the act so I need to do something to deter it… Its very hot here in AZ so I keep the front door closed now..

I read in a book that complete-indoor cats can be dog-like. My cat is not a complete in-door cat, but he’s still dog-like. I can’t really explain it, but he just is.

Recently I asked a question about a pesky raccoon that keeps coming around and eating the food i leave of for four, fixed, vaccinated feral cats. I dont like that hes around but my neighbors have FREAKED when they see it, and are ready to take action. To make things worse, the local TV news had a story about wild rabid raccoons in the area that have been attackg peoples pets
Granted feeding strays really isnt allowed under my city ordinace and laws, but Ive explained to all my neighbors that deligently trapped all the ferals, had them fixed and vaccinated, and they all seemed appreciative and supportive of what ive done and wont file any complaints or call animal control on me. However with this raccoon on the loose they are ready to call animal control out to set traps, and im certain some of the fixed feral cats will stumble into the traps and be taken away/euthanized. What should I do? I still have a humane trap and im serious considering trapping and relocating the raccoon myself.
Regarding the unlawful feeding of stray cats, Ive kept all the medical records and rabies certificats on hand, and would go to bat for the ferals claiming they are my pets and have all been properelly vaccinated.
As far as just stop feeding the cats in general, I dont think that would get rid of the cats since I commonly see them in the back yard of an elderly couple several houses down, which leads me to believe they feed them as well. They would just spend more time eating at thier house. This was one of the reasons why I took matters into my own hands, and had them fixed, so the ferals wouldnt keep mulitplying.
not that I have any intention to get rid of the cats (I also have 3 indoor cats of my own) and cant have anymore
After taking some good advice from you guys, I called the animal control and told them i would trap the raccoon if they would come pick it up. Well to my astonishment they said NO, and they arent even allowed to trap and transport the raccoon themselves. Wow, what county do I live in. Anyways, the said I need to call a licensed trapper or "critter Control"
