What are the negative aspects of declawing besides that it is inhumane?
This is for an indoor cat by the way.

I have a 1 year-old cat. She is an orange tabby. She has a four paws with claws. But she is destroying the HOUSE! I refuse to give her away. I know they put the cat to sleep when they declaw them, but what is the oldest age to do it at?
We have a scratching post, and she uses it every day. I have declawed a cat before too.
She is also an indoor cat. I will never let her outside of the house.
My cat does not like to go outside. I had adopted her from a non-profit organiztion. The way they got her is, some one had found her outside, sick almost seeking death. I would prefer to keep her indoors, and please DO NOT tell my cat would like to go outside.
I am only have the front paws done, if I get it.
Heavenly, you are absolutly right. These people are being rediculous when they say it is cruelty. It’s not! She is fine and I am most likely going to go ahead and do it.
I just don’t understand it why would people do that? isn’t easier to clip their nails then to declaw them
very curious about this
stars please
I clip his nails weekly
my is an indoor cat and has all of his claws. click on my profile under check my kitty
I’m going to get a cat, and I was wondering whether or not to get an outdoor cat. Also, what should i do if I get an outdoor or indoor cat?
Also, where’s the best place to keep a litter box? XD
THANKS!
Hes a indoor cat..is scared of the out side …but is curious at times.. he hates the car…but thats when hes not in a carrier…Im going to get him a nice big carrier that is comfortable but Im scared thats not going to enough.
I’ve been giving her about 1.5 cups of dry food every morning and she’s good about just eating a little bit when she wants it and that’s all I feed her all day. I give her very healthy food so I don’t think I need to change that, but she is sort of gaining weight, and I was wondering if I should give her a smaller portion or what a healthy amount is for an adult indoor cat? Thank you!!
I’ve been feeding her nothing but dry food. I feel bad and heard it’s bad. She is an indoor cat so i understand she needs more nutrition and such. If you have MORE info on how to keep her healthy in her diet and excersice please tell me that as well. Thanks:)
My cat likes to go outside and roam about. Recently an asian family moved into the neighborhood and I see them watching my cat. Should I make my cat an indoor cat now for its own protection?
My cat is 4 years old and is an indoor cat, I noticed a month or two ago some fleas so I bought him a flea collar. I was petting him and noticed under his flea collar there were about 3 or 4 red, bloody sores. They don’t seem to irritate him but should I take him to the vet or just leave it alone? He still has the fleas…
I personally think that if it is a indoor cat it’s ok, because it will never need it’s claws to fight. However, witha outdoor cat they need claws to protect themselves. What do you think?
CF_ They aren’t getting their toes cut off otherwise I would have said de-toeing.
