I’m moving to another city 6 hours away and don’t own a car. I’ve rented a Uhaul, but was wondering if my dog and cat would be ok in the back of the truck with the other stuff I’m moving. We have a dog crate that we have used on the train before, and also a cat carrier.
Thanks!
i forgot to mention that i would be riding in the back with them…
i don’t consider my animals furniture! i love them loads, and i’ve never used a uhaul before, so i was just asking…

We don’t want to de-claw because the vet says it’s terrible for them for many reasons. How do I train my cats to stop taking their claws out when palying and to stop scratching the furniture?

female cat, about 5.5 years old. She has all her claws and likes to be outside a lot so i am not willing to de-claw her. I work full time and am gone from home a lot, so am not here to constantly keep an eye on her, and keep her away from the furniture and carpet. I’ve bought her one scratching post, thinking she would use that, and not scratch the furniture and carpeting on the stairs, but she showed no interest in it at all, and never used it. Help, i’m desperate! what can i do to stop her from clawing all the furniture?

My kitten is about 9 months old-she was recently adopted. She is a Manx kitten and is very playful and loving. The problem is that she won’t use her scratching post.
She prefers to use the bottom and sides of my mattress. She will crawl under the bed (so it makes it almost impossible to remove her) and just claw at it. Sometimes she decides to use the top of the mattress so that her paws are actually underneath my pillow when I am trying to sleep. The only way to get her out from underneath the bed is to shine a laser light on the other side of the room.
I have two scratching posts for her. I have tried spraying them with catnip spray. I have tried playing with her toys on the post so she will claw it. I have tried doing it myself to show her. I have tried putting treats on top of the scratcher so she will have to put her paws on it to get the treat I also have tried holding her near the post and scratching her back so that her scratches on reflex. The scratchers are both steady and she is able to stretch her whole body length…if she used it.
When she scratches our chairs, I remove her right away and put her in front of her scratching post. Then she just sits there and stares at it. I really need help…I love my kitty and do not want to get her declawed. I hear that it is so painful for them. I also do not really want softpaws. I want her to be able to scratch her claws freely..just not on my furniture.
Help anyone? Please..

I have been dealing with cat urine in my furniture, I’ve shampooed, used Kids N Pets, Febreze, etc. I was able to lighten the smell, but not totally get rid of it. I found out my sister in law is highly allergic to urine smells, and my brother and her are going to be staying with me for a few days when they visit. I need to find something to get rid of this urine that is inexpensive and really truly works well. Any suggestions? Please? I need to do this within two weeks! HELP PLEASE!?! thank you.
Oh and in case someone decides to give stupid answers like get rid of the cats, no, this happened as an accident, I have an old cat who is going downhill, but is not suffering so I won’t put him to sleep yet. He’s very happy and healthy, just old. All other answers, thank you very much for your input.

I have a male cat, roughly 8 weeks. How much would it cost to get him neutered, and only his front claws removed?
I’m removing his front claws for the safety of the other cats, I could care less about furniture.

My cat does not scratch furniture. He scratches me. All the time. He is sweet, but extremely playful. I keep soft paws on him but they fall off or he chews them off within a day or two. I can’t constantly replace these little caps. It’s expensive and I have to get cut just to discover one is missing in the first place. Again, I don’t need help with furniture scratching. He just scratches me. Thanks for any suggestions.
