I’m thinking about getting a cat, and I also know that scratching things is their nature. My dad has all these giant paintings in our house; how can I make sure that it doesn’t scratch the paintings at all?
and I’m not going to de-claw a cat either ); I think it’s cruel. Please help!
The painting takes up a whole wall, reaches the floor, and doesn’t have a frame nor glass.

My dad saw a little black-and-white cat outside yesterday. It was close to the house, so I don’t really know if it’s feral, but he said it ran away.
He said it was smaller than one of our cats, so it may have been an older kitten, and was just hanging around.
I left out some wet food, but it remains untouched.
I’m afraid if I do catch it it’ll scratch my eyes out.
Advice?

and he’s been trying to beat up my other cats. I thought I could trap him and take him to the animal shelter. My dad set a trap for him but this cat is really smart and won’t go in it. What else is there to do? He may hurt my other cats.

I’ve had this cat for about 2 years now, and she has always been good about going in her litter box to pee. Now she keeps peeing around the house and all over stuff. My dad has punished her a few times but she continued. How can I get her to go in the litter box?

She is chubby. Big, but small cat, if you know what I mean. Green eyes, black mask. VERY affectionate… Pretty active. (jumped 2 meters) doesn’t hunt very often. always fighting with her sister.
She is the odd one out. The litter was five whites and one black and white. Her! so, im guessing her dad.. was black and white. Anyway, here are photos, have you any idea what breeds are in her? I know she is sort of tabbyish, because when the lighting is right, you can see faint stripes on her fur.

^^^ A view of her fluff and chubbyness!

^^^ A view of her body

^^^ her as a kitten

Thanks!

What should I do? There is a stray cat who hangs out at my house and is used to hanging out with my 3 cats. I haven’t been feeding it, but its been around so long that I don’t think it’ll ever leave.
I don’t want to bring it to the pound because they’ll probably end up killing it. Do I take it and leave it somewhere else, like at a strip mall where there are restaurants with dumpsters full of food? I feel guilty having to think about that, but whenever it hangs out with my cats, it gives them conjunctivitis. My personal cat of the 3, already has a slightly cloudy cornea when looked at an angle. Not sure if means that it has received irreversible damage. I believe that others living in the house have been feeeding it food, but I have told them not to, so it’ll be forced to go away. As of now, it’ll be 2 days that I haven’t personally fed it and the cat must be starving cause it is practically at my feet meowing whenever it sees me eating anything. What should I do?
also i’m not sure if it belongs to someone else? It isn’t malnourished/skinny, but if size is one true indication of health, it hasn’t been keeping up to my cats…although SHE is as small as our smallest cat. (1 grey big brother, 1 grey medium sister, 1 small persian-looking sister). They were strays rescued from my father’s work. Their mother gave birth to another larger litter of 6 and my dad "rescued" them and brought them to the pound, not realizing that they were going to be put down. In essence he killed our cats siblings.
My cats are indoor cats…the stray approaches me when i’m out in the yard or the garage. How do I know if she has an owner, just one that doesn’t leave a big giant bowl of cat food out like I do?…like a supplementary source of food?
