Basically my boyfriend and I have started saving change in an old apple juice can (not easy to access, it makes it easier). Just before Christmas we’re going to roll all the coin and go shopping for our local animal shelter (btw it was voted Americas #1 shelter ). They have a wishlist on their site and while I am a dog person or even a little critter person I want to make sure we’re fair to the cats too. on their wish list they have trees and scratching posts, both of which are WAAAAY over priced. So I thought maybe I could stretch a buck further if I made some. I am both Crafty and Handy, just not overly knowledgeable of what should or should not go into one of these things, as I have never had a cat. Anyone with instructions or links, they’re greatly appreciated

I really want to know what these cat toys are made of so I can find out how to make things with it, if possible…

They aren’t spongy or hard plastic. They are made with some soft, clear plastic [kinda like a jelly plastic] that makes them look like they glitter and light can shine through with a bell in the center. I don’t want to use it to make cat toys, I want to get some to make Christmas light covers and bracelets etc. I just need a name of what the stuff is called that they’re made with.
I meant a soft, clear rubbery plastic is what they were made of…

it will be 2 years this christmas since we brushed are cat. she likes to be brushed but it is my sisters turn and she wont do it. i did it last time. no one will do it. her fur has burs (sp?) my mom says and she needs brushed. she has mud or greese in her fur too. and she scratches.

i got a ps2 for christmas this yeah and the next day i got a game from gamestop and its call the urbz sims in the city and i was wondering can you have kids or get married is so how oh and how do you get you dog to your house in blakwood towers cause i have a cat there but i also want my dog there please help???

Well, I’ve got a stray on my hands.
Seeing how Christmas is coming soon, I can’t just buy my dogs presents and not Chester Nester(the cat).
So I’m looking for fun cat toys. It’d be great if you’d share what you’ve bought or maybe something you’ve created(lets try to think beyond the normal feather toy, mouse, and plastic bell balls).
I don’t think she’s the box type either. No scratching posts or scratching involved toys, her previous owner had her declawed(which is just sad).

Every grocery bag has either stalks of celery or French bread sticking out at top.

Every window in Paris has a view of the Eiffel Tower.

If a family has both a dog and a cat as pets, the dog is always male and the cat is always female.

The parking space is always right out front, even in a crowded market or 70-story building in New York.

Christmas is the cure-all for all family problems.

At first I tried the cheapest they have at WalMart (Cats Pride) and it is like sand and went everywhere….but it kept the odor down.

Now I am using Fresh Step, and it gets tracked out of the litter box just as bad even though it’s the clay kind, and it smells a lot worse.

Any recomendations?
I have a rug under it too….

what sucks is I am a college student and don’t have a vaccume cleaner…I just borrow one from my friend every other week or so…lol…I would bye one but my mother says my aunt is "surprising me with a really nice one that I’ll be able to keep forever" for Christmas…lol…but that sure will help for the next 5 months!

I got a Christmas stocking full of cat toys for my cat, and there’s a little package of catnip in there. There’s also a sponge (about the size of a normal household sponge) that came in the stocking, and a small sponge about the size of a guitar pick that came in the catnip box. What is this for? Do I put the catnip on the sponge or something? There were no instructions with the catnip so I’m at a loss as to what the sponges are for.

Hello everyone, i plan to buy my son a kitten for Christmas this year but he seems to have a specific type of cat in mind. While overseas afew years ago, at a small village in Macedonia where i have relatives there was an adult cat that was very small, exactly like a kitten. My aunty told me it was a variety of cat that doesn’t grow beyond a certain size. It was really cute, white and grey with short fur and very small for being an adult cat. So my question being, does anybody know of any breeds that are like this that i can research ? By the way i live in Australia so if possible, only breeds that are widely available here. Cheers.
Unfortunately she did not know what breed it was, i would really love a cat just like it. It was literally a kitten, but not a kitten but an adult cat!
I researched the Munchkin breed but from what it explains, its not the cat that was there. He was very thin and slender with very short fur and normal leg height unlike Munchkins.
