So my sisters cat sleeps pretty much everywhere but her bed lately and I’m not sure why…I really dont like her sleeping on my bed but I don’t know how to get her to sleep in her cat bed!!! So my question is : are there any scents that will draw her to her bed? At first I was thinking cat nip, but I want her to sleep, not go crazy.

My 17 year old cat is sick with cancer. Yes I have taken him to the vet several times, yes I know he will eventually have to be put to sleep. We do have a vet coming to the house next week for a check up.

At the moment he still moves around on his own, climbs stairs and plays. He has been eating baby food just because it is softer and the tumor is in his mouth. I am not sure he is getting enough to drink at the moment. Is there any liquid that I can offer him that may help more than just water? Is there any thing you know a cat likes to drink that may entice him to drink more? Pedialite? Baby formula?
He has begun to drink on his own again. Mostly water, on occassion a water infused with cat nip, and I have watered down the baby food and wet cat food a bit. He is also on supplement that adds calories and appropriate vitamins to his diet. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Its a young seedling, only about 2-3 weeks in age with only 2 pairs of leaves with its 3rd starting to show. but earlier today i noticed an odd purple color coming up from the stem an onto the leaves. i have a bunch of other cat nip plants around it but only a few seem to have the purple color.
and yes.. its CATNIP

I have moved into a new flat about a week ago and earlier in the week my cat got out but I caught her. Phew. She knows that she can jump back up onto the balcony I just dont know why she doesnt. So I put out a plank about 15mins ago. And this is because last night at about 10pm she got out again and up until an hour ago she was just sitting in a pipe. I couldnt get her. I don’t even know what the pipe was for!!! But about 15mins ago she wasnt there. I called for her. I looked down the tunnel. Either shes ran off somewhere or gone down the pipe. Ok I will admit that this is kinda funny. But I am worried. I have moved houses and flats alot in the past and she never runs off. Unfortunatly she is not the type of cat that is crazy for cat nip. Infact I tried it on her and she didnt even know. She walked up to smell it and then walked off.

She doesnt have a names collar but Im pretty sure that the collar she is currently wearing is blue.

I walk and play with my dogs regularly. I play with feather toys with my cats. Are there any other toys that would be great for my pets? I heard cat nip is great for cats but have never given it to my cats.

Okay, hear me out before you tell me to buy a scratching post and use a squirt bottle.

My sister’s cat is obsessed with scratching the carpet that is next to a closed door (almost like he is trying to dig his way underneath). I have never, ever been a supporter of de-clawing cats, but I’ve been catching myself considering it more and more!! >.<

Okay, we have bought him a scratching post that he won’t use (yes, i’ve put cat nip on it, and showed him how to use it), I’ve used all different kinds of spray, the MOST useless being the ‘organic all natural’ kind, and he is totally immune to the spray bottle. As I type this I am literally sitting next to said door spraying him every five minutes when he begins to scratch. I have even put him in a ‘time-out’ in his crate and after being let out he returns to the exact same spot and begins to scratch. His nails are trimmed, and he has toys to play with.

I’m not the type to be oh-so worried about my precious furniture and carpet, I’ve had animals all my life, I know what to expect, but he is destroying the carpets in this rented apartment, and I just don’t know what to do anymore. Under each door, the carpet is totally shredded and ruined.

I have had a kitten for three weeks, and he seems to think that it is ok to run up and down my brand new settee and climb up the sides of it and scratching the pillows. I really dont know what to do as he has made half hours and runs around like a loon jumping all over the place.
I have bouht him a cat scratch post with cat nip in but he doesnt use it.

HOW CAN I GET HIM TO STOP RUINING MY FURNITURE?

My 8 month old kitten scratches my good couches so i got her a cat scratcher that hangs on a door. When I lay it on the floor she scratches it because she smells the cat nip inside. But when I hang it on the door she just walks away. How can I get her to scratch it when it’s on the door.

One of my friends is desperate and asked me to feed his cat a few times a week while he is out of town. Since I have a severe cat allergy, I can’t play with the cat at all. I purchased some cat nip at the recommendation of a friend. I’m just unsure of how to give it to the cat.

Im trying to find something to really make my chicken stick out. Catnip tends to drive the cats crazy. Maybe it will have the same affect when combined with my chicken?
