But he didn’t like it and loves scratching my husband’s fabric chair. So I bought better quality one with organic cat nip and taught him how to use it couple of times by putting his paws on the board and moving them like scratching(I didn’t use the cat nip because my neighbor advised me not to use it until he becomes 6 month) But he didn’t try to learn it and keeps scratching the fabric chair.

I don’t want to invest in his scratching post anymore, but should I buy him a carpet scratching post? I guess he loves its rough texture…

Or does anyone knows better idea to get him use the cardboard one?

What suggestions can you give me to keep him from scratching my mattress. Saying no and tapping his paws isn’t working. He also gets stuck in my office chair when he is scratching it and i have to help him unstick his claws.

My cat had kittens 3 months ago and I want the kitten that we kept to sleep inside in acat carrier but last night I tried and he cried all the time and managed to tip it over. What can I do to get him used to it? I put mum and him in the same time but he tries to get milk from her..
What’s cat nip? I gave him dry food last night ij there and put a blanket in so he ate the food then went skits

So As a normal person I thought cat nip was like Kitty Crack. And just made them all happy and excited. (and could also be used as tea in humans)
But someone told me recently that it makes a cat…Um. Horny

I have a scratching post but he doesn’t seem to really like it, I have tried taking him over there and showing him how to use it. He used it one day and I rewarded him with a treat but hasn’t used it since… :(
He has been starting to scratch at the furniture. Declawing is not an option either. I’m gonna try the cat nip.
he is only 8 weeks so he doesn’t respond to the cat nip yet… :(

My indoor cat got out of the house and we can’t find him. We put at food and his litter box out on our patio to see if he will smell it and come back. We’re also considering putting cat nip around the patio because it was his favorite and would climb into the cabinets to get it sometimes. I know cats have a good sense of smell, but how close do they have to be to smell it?

So my cat is always scratching on my walls and door ways, it has gotten really bad which really sux cuz i rent so my landlord would not be happy to see this. Does anyone know any tricks or tips to stop him from scratching everything, he does have a scratching post so that doesnt work he prefers walls and doors. I have already tried to use cat nip to attract him to the scratching post that didnt work either. So i am desprite for help please someone!!!

I bought a toy for my 2 cats not realizing it had cat nip in it. My cats opened the present and got out the cat nip. I’m working on making a quilt and have a extra piece of fabric and want to make a cat toy out of it without putting cat nip in it. How do I make the fabric smell like cat nip so they can play with it?
