Paris, ( my cat ) keeps going in there and doing #2…It’s disgusting to say the least. I want to know if there is anything that I can treat the bare plywood with that will make her want to go outside or down to the basement & also not hurt the wood… Help please!!??

She will pee on anything smooth (plastic, magazine pages) and we’ve been locking her in a room with a catbox with newspaper in it. She will pee on the newspaper, but if she gets the chance she will always prefer peeing under our dining table, which is smooth tile.

What can I do to get her more comfortable in her cat box again?

It also has to be an open cat litter box because she just refuses to use anything else, i have a high sided cat box now but its still not enough.

Or is there a shield of some sort i can just buy and place it on the box i currently have?

My cats are indoor cats, but there are dogs in the house that go outside. I always wash my hands after I’m done. Is this enough? Or is there a better way?

We have only one cat box, could that be the reason for this gross new habit?
The two cats get along VERY well
