My cat has a litterbox that he uses, but he also occasionally urinates on the furniture and piles of clothes. When I catch him doing it, I rub his nose in it and yell and show him the litterbox, but he continues to do it. The apartment is beginning to smell. How do I make it stop?
It’s a male cat, and he IS fixed.

There is a stray cat by our apartment again that we always feed. I don’t try to get close to it, but I’ve gone out to see it before. Every time it seems me when I’m outside (but not through windows), it looks at me, then starts meowing incessantly.
This last time, it also ran away a little ways, then started meowing and rolling on it’s back and rubbing itself on the ground.
What does it mean exactly?
Thanks.

When I was living with my mother, we had a cat. He was a good little cat. My mother got remarried and moved to another apartment, but we could not keep the cat inside. I picked him up and hugged him for the last time. Sometime after that he apparently wandered in to street and was ran over. That poor little cat never had a chance against a big heavy car. I remember seeing the blood stain on the road. It still haunts me to this day.

At an apartment complex I looked into, they said that you had to have your cat declawed. Is it legal in indiana to discriminate agaisnt un-declawed cats? I have to pay a 0 pet deposit on top of the regular deposit, plus a month.
Do you think they will actually inspect my cat?

We lived in a apartment but will be moving into a house soon. While we are looking for a place to live we will be living with my boyfriends parents in their house. However they have a big dog and leave the doors open.
My cat is microchipped at has all her shots and we will put a collar on her etc. I am just so worried that something will happen to her.
Apparently another cat comes in their yard and the dog is fine with her .
Any tips please ?
Thanks !

My cat started hissing at my vacuum cleaner anytime that I would vacuum my apartment. Well now that he is older, he has started hissing at everything that is larger than him and that I am holding. Just wondering if there is anything I could do to stop him from doing this?

About two months ago I took in a stray cat. He sleeps in my apartment every night, eats here, and even uses the litter box that I bought for him. However, he still likes to go outside during the day. I’m going out of town for four days for Christmas and don’t know if I should leave him inside or outside.

Don’t have one yet and I have always been of the belief that animals need outside time also. However, we have an apartment and I’d really like to get one…

I’ve tried everything, from pine/newspaper litter to crystals. My cat has a mat in front of her covered litter box and still, she tracks it throughout my apartment. It even ends up on my couch and bed! I think I’ve tried pretty much everything, but if you have any ideas, please let me know. Thanks
NJ – She doesn’t track cat litter everywhere on purpose, I’m sure she doesn’t even realize she’s doing it. The problem doesn’t lie with her misbehaving, but with the litter sticking in her paws.
