We’ve had her since she was a kitten and she’s 100% an inside cat. Since we put the Christmas tree up, she’s been peeing in front of it. Her litter box is kept clean. Right now we have her locked in a large cage with her litter box, bed & a dish, I don’t know what else to do…

Our cat box USED TO BE in a little storage room that is now being remodeled for a guest bathroom. Paris, ( my cat ) keeps going in there and doing #2…It’s disgusting to say the least. I want to know if there is anything that I can treat the bare plywood with that will make her want to go outside or down to the basement & also not hurt the wood… Help please!!??

How to stop constant meowing and searching behavior?

I am not the original owner. This animal was the stray I lured into the cat carrier (with your help) in order to rescue him. He is very affectionate, but seems to be looking for & calling to someone. Perhaps he will settle in time….what do you think?

My cat has recently been sick alot, and also having alot of furballs. I have been grooming her, but have concluded that the brush really isn’t very good quality – I must admit, it was a cheap one, and not fit for the job.

I would like to get a very good quality brush that I can use to help my cat with her fur balls, poor thing. If someone could suggest a specific brush, or even the kind of brush I need – it would be appreciated. My cat never had furballs this bad before, which is why we carried on with the rubbish brush.

She is a Birman cat, if that helps.

Price isn’t a problem (as obviously the brushes wont be overly expensive anyway) but I do live in the UK. I don’t mind ordering off of the net for a good brush, though.

Cheers!
Hey there Percy-And-Penny! Thanks for the answer – totally wonderful! Would this be suitable for my cat?

I currently don’t have any pictures, but I do have a video of her on YouTube! There’s images of her on there if it will help.

It is set to some ‘soppy’ music, so you may want to mute the video if you don’t fancy listening to it.

You’ll clearly see her fur length and such (and how adorable she is).

Also that dematting tool looks wonderful Amanda!

I am looking for a qualified veterinarian who is more interested in the quality of life for my cats than the quantity in his/her bank account. Since declawing is a horrendously cruel act done only for uninformed pet owners and fast money for the vet, I would like to find a vet who refuses to declaw. I want the health and comfort of my cats to come first. If you have a website with a list of such veterinarians, I would really appreciate it. The last vet I went to had just spade a cat and performed 10 amputations – the cat had come back due to infections and not healing from this horrible trauma. I never want to witness such cruelty again on a visit to a vet.

How do I keep cat off of furniture?

My parents gave me this beautiful antique baby grand piano. It’s very close to my heart. My husband’s !@#$%&*! cat jumps on top of it (in the middle of the night when we’re asleep of course) and put claw marks on it. It’s all I can do to keep from killing the cat. How can I keep him off of furniture? He has also peed on this leather chair now twice!! I hate this cat sooooo much but he came with the husband, so I know it’s a losing battle. I have tired that "keep off" spray, but that does diddly-squat. Any ideas?
