she probably is telling you there is something wrong with her or something take her to the vets its a small price to pay 4 gr8 peace of mind
uhhh wow my aunt had a dog that would chew herself.
i would take the cat to the vet and ask them or u can put the cone thing around her head u can find them at petsmart for like 10$.
that is all i can think of good luck
for now put a vetrinary cone or something similar around her neck so she doesn’t do any more damage
when my cat did that, he had some fleas we hadn’t seen.
if she is indoors all day, she could be grooming out of boredom.
try getting her some toys, stay in with her for a day, playing all day and see if the grooming stops.

Change her food.
Corn, wheat, soy, milk cause itchy skin.
Look into Innova EVO, California Natural, and Wellness.
Treat for fleas.
Even if you can’t see them, they might be bugging her. Get flea meds from your vet.
Just because she is indoors does not mean an infection is improbable. You carry all sorts of things into your house on the bottom of your shoes.
Usually if you see licking to that extent, it means something is going on with her skin that cannot be seen by the naked eye.
You can try giving her a bath with an Aloe & Oatmeal Shampoo(it will soothe her skin, reduce the itchiness and does not contain soap).
The best thing you can do for her is to get her in to see your Vet. Your vet will be able to tell you wether she has a skin infection(which can be treated with a course of antibiotics) or if she may possibly have allergies(which can be treated with a Steroid injection.)
I would NOT suggest switching her food right off the bat, this can sometimes actually make things worse for her. Only switch her food if your vet tells you that she may have a food borne allergy.
