Shes one year old and you lock her out she must feel very low her owner wont let her in and shes no where to go. Why not teach her not to chew, shes still little, and let her back in the house then you wont have the problem my two start doing simular things at her age I just firmly told them no buy her toys for her to chew on so she learns she can do it just only with her things
They make stuff to keep cats out of your garden it may work if you put it around your property, I dont know what its called but if you go to a pet supply store you can find it, its not uncommon. We had a cat that bothered ours and threw water on it when it came around, eventually it stopped.
beware of your spellings!
Get some lion dung from your local zoo and spread that around. Works a treat!
Even frightens off dogs!
There are various products to keep cats away but most don’t work and may worry your cat.
I managed to stop my cat being bullied by other ones by firing a ‘Super Soaker’ water gun at them whenever they came too close to the house. Don’t use anything too powerful which may hurt them. but strong enough to scare them off. Trouble is you will need to keep doing this every now and then as cats are always nosey.
how about an outdoor pen? there are some nice ones on ebay called "kitty walk". my cats scratched up the carpet by the door to get out, but got beat up by strays too. now mine are happy to be outside in their 6′x5′ pens. put yours under a shade tree where it can enjoy watching birds and squirrels.
ACK!? Why kick her out? Let her back in and work on the behavior problem. We kick our cat out to, but only for a few hours and thats only because hes a kitten and sometimes theys four walls can not contain all of his energy. So he needs to let off steam outside, and boy dose he. The dogs are thinkfull to, because Skittles has claws and when he gets goin he likes to dig into our puppies. But they keep going back for more… I dont get it. Er, I dont ask questions I just accept.
Most of the time its the cat and our Palmaranian that plays together. I figure its because their about the same size. Cat always wins tho.
First of all if the cats are stray call your local SPCA. If they belong to someone, politely joke about it to the owners so they are aware of what their cat is up to. However nobody can really control a cat from sleeping in someplace.
you should spray water using a sprayer on those other cats when they come and sit her cat house. You need to spend some time out for this , cos once in a while spraying won’t teach them a lesson
Make your cat sleep in the tower for a while indoors, about a week so she completely understands its hers and her smells are more predominant.
Make sure you feed your cat indoors. The food is attracting the other cats more than the tower itself. Don’t mind if the cats come around just to sleep there, your cat with eventually learn to guard its grounds. Cats won’t fight for sleeping space, they mostly fight for food. If they are scared from entering your area they won’t consider entering the tower.
So arm that water spray and use it liberally and with a bit of shoo and clanky loud noises to scare the bejesus out of them.
Let the poor cat inside you must work with her. When she does something you do not like, clap your hands near her she will get the point. Most cat’s do not like loud sounds. If that doesn’t work Get a spray bottle fill it with water, and spray in face. That does not hurt them, don’t put the spray on a hard spray. Best of luck to you !
I am a great beleiver in the old water pistol routine! Cats not only hate getting wet, but they can’t figure out where it’s coming from – they hate that too – and it won’t do them any harm. Your cat is possibly teething and needs to chew. Let her in again (poor little girl) and get her some things she is allowed to chew; and a squirt gun for when she chews those things she is NOT allowed to chew. A little patience and a lot of love and you will soon have the pretty kitty you always wanted.
About the other cats, call animal control or the local humane society. If you decide to bring her back in, get her something with lots of things that she can chew on. You can even make it yourself really cheap. Just get a little table from Wal-mart or something and hot glue different things to it so they are hanging down. You can use things like shoe laces, remnant fabric, plastic laces, and strings with beads. It should only take about 30 minutes to make and about $15.
i think you should bring her back in side or build her a shed with a kitty door
bring the cat back in,because usually when they scratch carpets, couches, etc. they want you to play with them.
I am sorry to say but if the other cats are taking over and she is not standing up for herself there isn’t much you can do. I think cats are in door pets. And you should try letting her back in the house. There are more thing you can do in the house for her. There are products that you can buy to stop her from chewing. If you don’t want her in the house may you could put her in the basement. I think you are going to have more of a problem if you leave her outside. They might even start to bet her up then she is going to have to go to a vet and that is going to get expensive. I say look into more thing of Turing to get her in the house.
Scare the crap out of the other cats.
If your cat has been inside for it’s whole life, and then you stick it outside to fens for itself… you do not heart smokey bear. You should have been better off getting the cat de-clawed, and keeping it inside, where it belongs. Cats don’t live outside for very long, there is disease, cars, and other cats… if you really heart you little kitty, you would take care of it better!
Your cat will just have to learn to stick up for herself. If not, she’ll starve and sleep in the rain.
Call the pound or some other form of animal control to rid your property of stray cats. That, or…eh…you could buy a BB gun and…(cough)…nevermind…
Have you tried a high powered squirt gun? That worked for me when my cat was getting into it with the neighborhood bullies.
Let your little baby in. I lost my dear darling Max to the outside world and I have never stopped missing him. Let the little sweetie in.
If you love your cat why banish her outside. I think you are mean.
So she scratches up the carpet, so do mine, and it drives me mad, but not mad enough that I would do that to them because that’s just horrible.
When they scratch at the carpet I squirt them with a plant sprayer. If you love your cat then buy it a scratching post and spray it with catnip spray.
