Need Help with a Dream, Including a Yellow-White Fluffy Cat.?
I’m a 31 year old male who had a vivid dream and I’m hoping someone can provide guidance beyond the stock “cats are bad luck” answer. In my apt. appeared a light-yellow, fluffy cat. He was neither aggressive nor sweet; he just perched on a shelf looking and smelled me on the nose when I approached. I have no aversion to felines, btw, but have not lived with one since 1995. I looked around but found no door or window opened. I looked at his tag: his name was Raphael and it had a phone number (including a 9, 4 and 5 in some combo). I called and got a recording with a message from an Indian woman (Hindu/Asian) saying that I "received the cat for a reason, for we do not chose them but they chose us.” She assumed the caller would be a woman. I looked at his tag again and noticed a message I cannot recall save for the word “purpose.” The phone rang (a creditor) and I woke up. Let me add I’m between jobs jobs (I’m an attorney) and have been dealing with serious financial pressures.

One interpretation:
"Cat" (in this context) = higher astral or First Heaven anchor.
"Light yellow" (in this dream) = wisdom, wise dominion, education; relates to your law degree.
The dream action indicates telepathic clues, even as you indicate a neutrality toward cats; that, as your dream conscious, which is your waking subconscious, naturally enough approaches said cat, it acts more than as a mere sockpuppet cat-symbol…it smells you at your nose.
You go into legal mode, check its registration (9 = 4 + 5, "check" for your dream conscious, which is satisfied; "9" = "completion"). ( http://www.numberslady.com is good re this.)
You call the authorities, again in legal justice tracking mode, your dream consciousness reflecting how you are; the "Bodhisattvic" quale of the "Asian/Hindu woman" is again more likely angelic telepathic guidance (indication that this dream is at a more profound level than e.g. what you saw yesterday in the news), for you "receive(d) the cat for a reason, for we do not choose them but they choose us." This is in a sense letting you know that there is a higher Law (which Natural Law points to and is a "lesser aspect" of) guiding mankind, regardless of their ignorance of same.
Some animals may act as anchors of positive higher energies, albeit they are but humble servants thereof. "Purpose" is in a sense a multi-spinor sword (sacred word, s-word), so perhaps a general "dedication," "honor," may provide another axis of meaning.
Would note "Hope’s Boy," Andrew Bridge, as carrying an example of meaningful legal dedication (he graduated from Harvard Law), and Bruce N. Shortt’s "The Harsh Truth about Public Schools" as another Harvard Law grad’s use of law, and Martha Beck, Ph.D.’s "Expecting Adam" and Chi Cheng Huang, M.D.’s "When Invisible Children Sing" as two clear and profound examples of higher awareness during their respective Harvard grad programs.
Would note that 33rd birthday is the number of fullness of colleagial and career preparation, so your financial house being more ordered would possibly be apropos.
