My sister brought a cat, and she keeps scratching the window?
My sister brought a kitten a couple of days ago, and the kitten is an outdoor cat since no one in the family likes cats. The cat keeps scratching at the window non stop? Does she want to come in? We give her the food outside, but I feel bad. I think she needs interaction? What can I do to help?

thinks the window feels interesting
You need to keep a kitten inside. It’s too cold for a kitten, and they are very vulnerable to other animals! How could you think it is okay to dump a kitten outside? I kept my cat inside for the first six months. Even if you have a little garden shed you can put loads of blankets and a heater and things in there.
I think the cat wants in or needs some TLC. Is there a back porch where you can keep the cat so it doesn’t bother the family. Or maybe you can set up a little corner in the garage to where it won’t bother anyone.
It’s the cat’s way of letting you know she needs something. If it is not food or water then she probably does want to come inside. But since it is an outdoor cat you will probably just have to let her get used to everything. And kittens love attention.
the kitten is lonely and afraid.
no one in the family likes cats ? WHY did your sister bring it home ?
give it to someone who will love it and keep it INSIDE.
Find the kitten a new home where it will be kept indoors. It is irresponsible and unfair to bring an animal into a family where it is not wanted and then just dump it outside to fend for itself.
Duh? You can’t figure this out on your own???
Of course the kitten wants to come in.
Your sister should never have gotten a kitten if she can’t let it come into the house. It is far to dangerous to force a kitten to live outside.
She most definitely needs interaction – cats are very social creatures and they thrive on attention and touching.
It is tantamount to animal abuse for your sister to have brought a cat home to a family who does not like cats and then put it outside.
If you cannot let the kitten come inside and live inside, you sister should take the kitten back or find it another home with someone who will not just toss it outside.
What is she thinking? Does she want a kitten only when she can go outside and be with it and the rest of the time it is on its own? Outrageous!!!
The more I think about it — this is not tantamount to animal abuse, it IS animal abuse.
Let the kitten come inside or find another home for it.
Yes, the kitten needs to be kept inside, at least until she has all of her shots and has been spayed. If nobody in your family likes cats, perhaps it would be best for your sister to return the kitten or find it another home.
