I had an un-neutered male who sprayed and I tried so many expensive products to get rid of the odor, but it just kept coming back, until I tried a white vinegar and water mixture. It worked better than anything I had tried. I would suggest just spraying your whole house down with it. I use a 50/50 solution. it will stick really bad when you actually hit a spot with urine on/in it, but it’s worth the odor for a few days to get rid of the urine smell. If you don’t want to go spray the whole house, get a black light. It will glow white when it hits anything biological.
I would start the cleaning with all soft squishy things (couches, chairs, clothes hampers). You can wash the clothes in the vinegar too. it works great. If your cat is fixed, i would suggest a trip to the vet to rule out a urinary track infection (a common cause of inappropriate urination), and try changing the box more often than you already do.
Good luck. It’s hard, it will take patience and a nose plug, but it IS possible to eliminate the odor and the cause.

maybe with sprays that eliminate bad smells?they have in the supermarket. or else clean your house in case the kitty peed somewhere, then buy aromatic sand, and clean the litter box with vinegar.that’s all i can think off.hope i helped!
your cat(s) are peeing outside of their litter box probably because you don’t keep it clean. or if you have male cats they must be neutered or they will spray on everything.
Keep an eye on your cats and figure out what they are peeing on, you can then remove/sanitize as necessary.
If your cat is male you may want to have him neutered as they spray their urine around their homes to express territory and dominance.
After you have done this (you may want to watch your cat for several weeks and see where they are going to be sure) you need to spray your house with a strong anti-pet odor like Glade or Febreeze. You have to make sure you have cleaned it thoroughly before spraying it with a air freshener or other scent because the cat has a more sensitive nose than you do and will continue to pee there. Make sure you spray the area they are peeing on. If you have carpet that they are peeing on then you may need to tear it up and replace it depending on how bad it is. It will rot and mold your flooring and just about anything else.
You need to keep your litter box clean daily, which can be annoying but animals are just like you. Would you want to stand in your own poo while going to the bathroom yet again? No one does. And again their noses are much more sensitive than ours.
Its also extremely dangerous to be exposed to cat urine and feces. It’s very important that you sanitize your house as soon as possible and as effectively as possible.
If you have a garage and your cat is able to gain access to it all the time, I would suggest putting the litter box there. The smell will never reach the rest of your house. If you can’t do this, then I would suggest putting the box in the furthest room away from the living room. You have to clean the litter box out as much as you can to keep the smells from accumulating. When I had my kittens I couldn’t put their box in the garage until they got older so I had to keep their box in the guest bedroom. The smell got really bad in the room, so I would put two candles on each side of the room and kept them lit for most of the day which took away the smell completely. Incense also work really well. I would clean their box out twice a day since there were two of them and completely switch out the litter with new litter twice a week.
If your cat is peeing outside of his box and you can figure out where he did it, then use vinegar on the spot he peed on. It takes a little bit of time, but it will eventually remove the smell completely. But if it’s just the box that is stinking up your house, then keeping the box as clean as you can will help prevent the smell from getting overwhelming. Just keep some windows open when you can and get some fresh air circulating through the house and light some scented candles occasionally and you should be okay.
Why don’t you use Fabrez? or one of those wallflowers. or bleach.Or take the litter box outside. cuz the litter box is were they manly pee and if you tack it outside and set it kinda by your fence/wall you wont smell it unless your by it.
This is work. But its a labor of love.
There are sprays you can use, shampooing and so on. But the key here is spraying outside your home and deterrents because there are cats out there and your cat may be marking territory or as we lovingly refer to as spraying an email…inside joke…
Anyway, yeah, its territorial, but with some training, patience and love, you can make them not do that, you have to be committed though and it will take time.
