My feamale cat getting spade,?

I’m not a cat person so I’m not sure, I picked her up as a stray and she is getting spade tomorrow. Do cats get that little tunnel thing like dogs do?
Also my cat is a total spaz and although she rips things up sometimes or I have to yell at her alot, I like her being hyperactive and I was wondering if getting her spade will clam her down, I play with her everyday and I plan to till she passes which won’t be for awhile.

Yes, get your cat spayed. They are happier and healthier that way. Yes, it will calm her down but it doesn’t happen in just a snap. Plus, spaying will make her live longer and have less disease. Also, you would be very helpful to our animal society by spaying her and not adding more euthanized animals in shelters.
Fact: You pay less money if you spay your cat instead of not spaying her.
As far as the tunnel thing, I don’t know what you are talking about.
Spaying DOES calm cats down but it also depends on the age of your cat. If she is young it will take more time for her to calm down because she is still growing. All cats calm down as they grow older, but still consider spaying her.
You can let her outside where she can let all of her energy loose. But please only do this after she is spayed because she will probably run off and get pregnant.

I have a siamese cat and he gats tunnel vision if thats what you mean and gatting ure cat spade will calm it down …
It will calm her down but it doesn’t happen overnight. No they will not have the cone on her head…my dogs never got cones on their heads when they were neutered.
My cat was and is fine and dandy. They’ll give you some kitty pain killer to go home with her. Just take it easy for a week or so. Mine did not need any special equipment. If her litter box is difficult to get into, go get a low disposable one at the grocery or pet store. She won’t enjoy jumping for about 10 days or so. After that, she’ll be back in action and ready to run!
She’ll slow down a bit as she ages, but otherwise excercise wonderful for the brain and the bod.
Does she have access to a yard? She probably will calm down after being spade, but only a little. And I’ve had a number of female cats fixed, and I’ve never seen tunnel things. They cut, snip and stich. It’s not a big deal. Just watch for licking.
yes they get that tunnel thing and it wont calm her down like playing wise maybe with male cats it will! but after she gets the surgery she will be tired for maybe two or three days! but she will mostly return back to normal!
We just rescued a little kitten ourselves. Usually they stay at the vet’s office overnight and when they come home they’re not wearing the funnel collar. The research I have done for my kitty said that getting your pet spayed or neutered will not change their personality or activeness. It will however, prevent them from getting into the bad habit of peeing to mark territory or doing all the annoying stuff they do when they go into heat. Hope this helps, Good luck.
No my female Thunder is as active as before she was a stray as well and she is fixed as well she romps threw the house and attacks the dogs and chases things butterflies bugs lizards and the sweet little kitten that she was as a baby.

I have a really wild cat too! After he got neutered they game me a cone for him to wear so he does not lick or pull at the stitches around the wound. Well, he wore the cone for about 2 minutes before he took it off himself!
I don’t believe that kittens/cats’ activity level changes too much after being fixed. Mine still runs around wildly, climbs walls, etc. He was a bit quiet when he came home from the vet, but was back to himself the next day.
It sounds like you are doing a great job with your active kitty! A really good way to calm them down is to play with them.
Cats are hunters and if they can not go outside and hunt, they need their human to simulate that for them by playing

The process of spaying your cat involves making a very small incision in the tummy of your kitty. The vet will removing her ovaries and uterus. Your kitty end up with a small scar (no tunnel). By spaying your cat you are ensuring she will not have to go through "heat" every three weeks which can drive both the human as well as the cat crazy!
All cats begin to slow down as they grow older. It all really just depends on the personality of the cat as to whether she’ll remain active. Of course, your playing with her on a regular basis will help keep her buzzing (as well as keeping her physically fit and mentally challenged).
Instead of yelling at her, use a water pistol or spray bottle turned to stream to use to stop negative behavior. This is much better than you yelling at her.

Typically, the cone collars are only applied to cats if they start trying to clean the incision too much, and some places (like my vet) use a soft tarp material, so it can fold back against their body, rather then being straight out and blocking their view.
Your cat likely will rest more frequently afterwards, but when active will be just as crazy.
