My dog is part Pomeranian and poodle, rather eat cat food or stay out of the cat box?

I have a puppy of 6 mos. old part pomeranian and poodle prefers to eat cat food and to get in their cat box and take their waste out of the box put it on the floor can’t seem to stop her.

As gross as it is, it’s totally normal. Dogs love catfood, and obviouly their stool will taste similarly as yummy to dogs. Hopefully your cat doesn’t have worms. You have to train consistently to keep her from doing it. Move the catbox if you must. Scold her when you catch her in it, or with one. And by scolding I mean, tell her a good no, give her a hand signal to drop it, and immediately put her in a time out. A crate perhaps? My pom used to do that too. Now she doesn’t.
Two things to try first move the cat food where she cant get it, put a gate up in the doorway the cat will jump it the dog cant. Secondly get DETER its about 11 dollars at places like petsmart and such and makes the poo taste really bad give it to the cat. Or move the litter box into a bathroom w the cats dishes and put up a baby gate (10 dollars at walmart) again the cat can jump the gate that dog wont
My dog does the same exact thing…..for the litter box thing we put it up against the wall and put some wood boards up so that the dog cant get in but the cats can. For the cat food thing we just put the bowls up higher so the dog cant get into it…..hope this helps!!!!
try a baby gate the cats can jump over it… if the dog gets in put some hot sauce in the litter box.. the gate worked for me.. the food I had to put the cats bowl up in a high place like the dryer.
Don’t let the dog have access to the room where the cats food or litterbox is because dogs LOVE catfood and cat poo.
cat food is really bad for your dog, stop that habit now and all dogs like to get poop out of the litter box. I suggest you get a box with a cover and keep it facing the wall so he cant get into it. keep your cat food up higher so doggie can’t get it. It can cause many problems with your dogs health
