My cat does the same thing. If she isn’t happy, she pees on everything and it reeks. What I would do is wash everything as soon as you can. You can use this stuff called Nature’s Miracle to get some of the pee out of your mattress. After that, try Febreeze. It really works to get rid of the smell.
there is a liquid you can buy at your pet store that will rid your mattress of the odor just follow the instructions on the bottle
Of course it can be salvaged!
When you was growing up, and kept wetting the bed, did your parents get a new mattress every day?
Clean it the same way you would if it had been a child that had peed on the bed.
They have plastic mattress pads that zipper around the entire mattress, you can contain whatever smell there is inside the mattress that way.
All the other bedding just needs to be washed in the long cycle, with a good amount of detergent.
Accidents happen. Even with well trained cats. We’ve had it happen twice in 5 years, neither one could get to the box fast enough and one had diarhea on the bed, the other peed.
