It’s hard to tell from your description what is going on- sometimes cats camp out on their towers exactly how you describe and ‘call’ to you- meow at you. This can be an invitation to pet them and play with them.
Try a few things- when she cries at you from her tower, see if she rolls around when you pet her or rub her belly- if so, she wants attention.
Although cats do get depressed, they also mellow out a little as they grow up.
Consider having a quick check up for her, just so the vet can look her over, feel her belly, look in her mouth and ears, and describe what is happening.
Cats also know when you are sad and depressed. Sometimes they cry to you when they know you don’t feel right.
Hope these things help.
Watch her closely, she may be suicidal
Some cats are very talkative! They just love to meow and do it often. Other cats are quiet. You may have a talker. Does your cat eat the same amount of food? Does she play for some of the day? Does she cry when you pick her up (like she is in any pain?) Is she using her cat box properly? If there are no other symptoms than what you describe, she is probably just talkative and trying to get your attention! But if she has any other problems, such as pain, change in eating, change in toileting, vomiting, etc, then get her to a vet!
Yeah she can definitely be depressed. It may be because she got spayed. But its normal for her to act calmer than usual after being spayed. But I believe you should wait until she has 1 or 2 menstrual cycles before you have cats spayed or let the breed once.It is healthier for her to experience it once.Try taking her to the vet maybe they can refer you to a cat therapist
Yes,cats can be depressed.they are gust like people almost. It might help to get another cat if you can.
