They are two separate people, just joined as one. They share a body but have two separate souls.
No, they are two people grown out of one fertilized egg that in the early stages of pregnancy didn’t seperate properly. Most of the seperations are done in early childhood as this seems to be the time in life with the highest success rate in seperation.
usually the surgeons decide because of the way the organs are used by the two bodies. Sometimes a seperation can’t be done because vital organs are shared.
Older siamese twins have often not wanted seperation in fear of loosing the other twin.
No, they are not considered one person…and they typically have speech and can express themselves (if they live to be old enough)
Doctors typically decide where/how to separate conjoined twins based on where they are joined, and what if any body parts or organs they share.
Conjoined twins are simply identical twins whose zygote didn’t divide properly/completely.
Read here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conjoined_twins for more info and a pic of conjoined twins who were from Siam, and thus how all conjoined twins became known as "siamese"
They are not considered as one. The decision on how to best separate the 2 is that of a team of doctors.
