Is it okay to have my cat sleeping on my bed?
I found my cat two months ago on the street. She was so small and skinny and she was starving. Since I didn’t wanna add the number of hungry cats in the neighborhood, I decided to keep her. Now she’s very healthy and very active. Every time she enters my room, she just jumps on my bed and she likes to sleep there, too. Is it okay for me? I heard that cats can cause some problems to women. Is it true? Thanks.

First of all, good for you for adopting a homeless pet. There are too many out there that need homes. I don’t know about cats causing health issues in women but my cats have always slept with me ever since I was a child. As long as she has had a clean bill of health, you should be fine. It’s probably not the cleanest suface, but you can wash your linens more frequently. It’s hard too keep them away and I don’t know aout you, but I would feel bad if I shut them out of my room. Have fun with your kitty!
its fine to sleep with your cat
If your cat is healty and youve given it a check up..
it should be fine.
my dog used to sleep with me.. it was just fine
Not inside the bed but on top is ok
Yes it is fine they do not cause women problems themselves but there feces can cause toxoplasmosis in pregnant women from cleaning the litterbox
We have had 3 cats for 5-12 years now and they all sleep on our beds. There’s nothing wrong with any of us (there are 4 women in our family).
I have never heard of cats causing trouble to women unless you are pregnant. Then you can not clean the litter box. But, otherwise, I don’t see a problem with it at all. I have two 13 year old cats that have lived and slept with me their whole lives. I have never had any trouble. So, I say let her be. She is fine.
No… As soon as you close your eyes, the cat will be possesed by the devil, and eat your children.
the only trouble i ever had with my cat is it gave me poison ivy, but that wasn’t necissarily b/c it slept on the bed either
if u feel comfortable,u can allow her over there. But if u are allergic to cats,Keep a bit away from her.Don’t put ur nose too near to her hairs.
Otherwise cats are good pets.
I say that’s a bunch of bull. I don’t think cats give any problems. Having a cat should just make you think of —
>scratches
>popping air mattress
>spraying (if its a male cat not fixed)
>Cat in heat (if its a female cat not fixed)
and all that stuff like barley happens. Having a cat on your bed sleeping with you is perfectly fine.
it’s OK if your cat is healthy and the vet says so than it will be all right.
PS:also if your mom lets you.
It is fine to sleep with your cat. I have had mine since I was one and I am 18 now, every night she sleeps on my pillow and I have never gotten sick. And I am a girl.
Many people are okay with it, but I wouldn’t do it if it was me… I like my bed clean, germ-free (at least animal germs) and animal hair-free… Maybe because I have sensetive skin and eyes… but thats what i would do…
It’s absolutely okay and wonderful, in fact, that your cat sleeps with you! Endearing to be sure! Lucky you! So many people want their cats to sleep on the bed with them, but cats are generally bed-sharers or they don’t like to sleep on the bed.
The problems you’ve probably heard are with pregnant women who need to stay clear away from cats’ litter.
Thank you for saving this cat!! You are an angel!
as long as she has had her shots, regular vet visits, and doesn’t have fleas, ticks, or worms, than it’s absolutely healthy. the problem that you are probably referring to is called toxoplasmosis. anybody can get this, but it is the biggest problem for pregnant women, small children, or imuno-supressed individuals. those people should use extreme care when handling cat excrement or cleaning the litter box.
