is it healthy to live with pets/animals like spayed cats ,dogs in the house?

I have a friend who has cats and dogs and he wants to come and stay with me,i wanna know if its healthy to live with pets/animals in the same house,can the animals easily transmit diseases to human beings?

Very seldom. In fact I don’t think anything can be transferred directly. U can get Rocky Mountain Spotted fever from a dog tick, but not necessarily because of a dog. U can get hookworms, but only if U R bare footed and step in dog poo, and do not wash your feet.
So U see, there really is not a danger under ordinary circumstances..
No they cant. All deseases common house cat and dogs get can not be tranferd to humans but make sure he keeps them well groomed and bathed because fleas are a bitch! Anyway it’s a fact the haveing a cat and petting him/her for a while can lower blood pressure also that people with dogs live 4 years longer then people with out.
I live on a farm and am always in close proximity to all the animals and my family is perfectly healthy! As long as they are all washed, wormed and treated for lice and fleas then your safe.
Millions of people have pets – cats, dogs, birds, fish, iguanas, rabbits, hamsters, and the list goes on. If you listen to the national news, you will notice that there aren’t warnings or reports of people getting sick because of their pets. It’s not a common occurrence.
Yes, there are some things animals can transmit to humans, but if a person is a responsible pet owner, they will make sure their animal(s) see the vet on a yearly basis, and keep them clean, and also keep their environment clean.
I think you have a bigger chance of getting a virus from a shopping cart at the grocery store.
As long as they’re well cared for & vetted as needed it should not be a problem. Fleas & worms are the only things that would be any concern & with well cared for animals that won’t be an issue.
Very few diseases are passed from animal to person. I’m guessing you don’t own pets? Is your friend bringing his pets and are you allergic?
I’ve always had pets of some sort and I’m healthy and happy.
It is helathy if they are current on all vaccines and he cleans the litter box EVERY day and walks the dog 3 times a day at least.
Absolutely it’s safe.
There are very few diseases that can be transmitted from cats and dogs to humans. So long as the animals are properly vaccinated, wormed and are on flea/tick treatment, they are perfectly safe to have in the house.
I have 4 cats, 1 dog and 4 parakeets in my house. The dog and cats are all spayed/neutered and up to date on their shots and worming. I’ve never caught any disease from any of them.
I worked as a vet tech for several years and other than catching ring worm from an infected cat, never caught any disease from the animals I worked with. And a lot of the animals I worked with were sick.
So I’d be willing to bet you’d be perfectly safe having these animals in your home!

Just keep ‘em clean is all. If they don’t smell bad, they’re fine.
There aren’t that many diseases that humans can catch from canines or felines. They’re also largely immune to each other. I’ve lived with animsl in the house my whole life. My dog sleeps on top fo my bed.
There are a couple of diseases that can be transmitted from animals to humans but the likelihood is very slight. I have worked with animals with all kinds of maladies for many, many years and never caught one myself or know of someone who caught one from a dog or cat. Diseases are more than likely going to be transferred between the animals themselves. But even then if you look at diseases transmitted between species the odds are again slight. I believe between a pig and dogs are the highest and that is still slight.

If the animals are healthy, have no skin problems or fleas, are properly vaccinated, etc. then you’re pretty safe. As with anything, there is a limit. One would not want to live in a house "overrun" with animals, no matter how healthy they are. Also, there is some concern that pregnant women should not clean litter boxes due to a thing called toxoplasmosis, but that’s just pregnant women.
People can get ringworm from animals, flea bites, and some forms of mange, so like I said, as long as the animals are free of such things, you’re good to go.
And research shows that interacting, petting and bonding with an animal makes that person healthier, lowers their blood pressure, increases endorphins (feel good pheromones) and can also make the owner live longer- gives them a sense of purpose.
If you decide to do this, have fun. Maybe you’ll decide to adopt a pet in need, once your friend leaves. If that’s the case, you’ll want to get a pet from a rescue place, like the Humane Society of the US or the local Animal Care and Control, or the ASPCA, but not from a breeder.
And of course, you’ll only want to do that as long as you can afford it. Having an animal is more than just hanging out with it, it means you take care of all of it’s needs just as if it were your child, it’s not real cheap or real expensive but is certainly worth the money.
yeah it’s fine, they won’t hurt you, they are called pets.
