Not really a problem.....and the reason you don't fertilize some fruits is that mot fertilizers are Heavy on Nitrogen,,,,,and during Fruit production very little Nitrogen is needed(only during growth cycle)

It will be ok for the Kitties.

it should be safe for a cat.... after all produce you buy in the store for yourself has way worse chemicals on it.... Dont worry about it..... it's a cat...... they have a life expectancy of under 20 yrs. humans have a greater chance of developing problems due to the longer life expectancy and prolonged exposure to toxins over the longer life span....besides the cats dont actually EAT the catnip,...they just play with it.

Be careful when you water the catnip with the Miracle Grow solution to only get it in the pot near the roots ... Contrary to previous staments, cats do actually eat the cap nip so they will ingest anything that is on the grass part. The amount of Miracle Grow in the plant system will be minimal but it could induce diareahha or vomitting if the solution is on the leaves themselves. (Remember cats are much smaller than we are so an amount that wouldnt bother a human could upset them).
