if my cat has roundworms should i keep it in a cage? like a cat carrier until its treated?
i ask this because i dont want to get roundworms and it seems to step in its own feces all the time, i dont want to contract it because it lives in my room sleeps on my bed, ect… is keeping it in a cage necessary?

It’s really hard for a person to catch roundworms.Just go to the pet store and get some Drontal for cats.Make sure to get the kind with pyrantel pamoate,it is very safe.
Keeping it in the carrier would be very stressful for the kitty.
I would suggest calling the vet and telling her/him exactly what you have told us.
Roundworms can be treated and the vet can tell you how to safely disinfect anything the kitty has stepped on or lain on, or whatever.
As long as you practice normal good hygiene, you won’t catch roundworms from your cat. Call the vet on Monday, and get him in to be properly treated. Have the vet or vet tech give the medication to your cat before you leave the office, and when you get home dump the used litter, clean the box with bleach, and refill with clean litter. Wash the bedding, and vacuum. That should be the end of it.
