It is wonderful that you are doing so much for these kittens and cats. You didn't mention scratchers, like the typical cardboard ones. I would have several, even though your cat tree probably has sisal. Cats love to jump around on things, especially if they are stacked. Would it be possible to have shelving at different levels along one wall? Or else cubes that can be stacked at various levels, to allow them to jump and play on, and even play hide and seek. I have cardboard boxes for mine to jump in and out of, and one with a hole in the side that they use as a cave. Very popular.

A nice big log sitting upright mounted on a piece of carpeted wood. The perfect natural scratching post! I was also thinking as much as cats like to perch and play, maybe some kitty condos placed here and there. Also, if you get a shy one, which you probably do, and nice, dark place it can hide, such as a wooden box with a hole drilled for entry, etc. Finally, what about a nice floor planter filled with catnip? I put stones on top of the dirt in my plant so the cats won't think it's a new litter box.

How about putting some of those nylon cube things in the room. They are not too expensive--they come 2 to a pack. They come with velcro fasteners so you can connect them together in all sorts of ways. My cats just love them. You could get 6 or 8 of them and make a little kitty maze. I change mine around every few weeks to keep it interesting. It's been months since I got mine and they have survived lots of rough play by my 2 cats (who think their still kittens lol!).

I got mine at Pet Supermarket, but I've seen them at other stores and online too.

Have fun with your kitties!

there is a man who built a shelf all around the celing (about a food down) and then kitty stairs up to the shelf. There are beds so they can hang out up there too.
