I have a beautiful calico tom cat, and he is fertile. How much are his calico kttens worth?
I was suprised when my vet told me I had a male calico. She then informed me that it was impossible for him to breed. So of course I challenged her theory, and to my suprise, he is now a proud father of three kittens, one being a calico. Just want to know if they are worth anything or if I can make any money studding out my tom.

No…
No one is going to pay for your cat to "stud" as he is not
a champion in shows nor does he have the championship line.
The female cat is the one who has income potential BUT you need championship blood to make money off an animal.
You should just get your cat neutered if you really love him. Cats that are neutered live longer and happier lives. Cats that are not neutered often end up with cancer or other health complications.
You’re an idiot.
Neuter your cat.
why would they want your kittens when theres a hundred at the pound waiting to be adopted
No… you don’t stud cats and you should get him neutered ASAP. Calico males ARE rare, but they carry many genetic diseases, which is why they are scarcely born.
The world has enough unwanted cats and kittens. Stop contributing to the overwhelming problem. They’re not going to be worth anything. Please get your cat neutered.
In a World awash in pretty Kitty’s- virtually Nothing. But to the Owner who happens to fall in Love with Him- he’s Priceless. Either way, you’re only going to have a SLIGHTLY easier time GIVING away your Calico kittens, than you are- selling them. But, good luck- anyway! There’s no harm in trying…
Neuter your cat. You are only adding to the problem we already have…too many cats, not enough homes. Why would you have so little concern for the cats and only see it as a way of making a buck.
I think you should have to get a license to own a pet. It should be an IQ test.
Okay, First, it IS possible to have a calico male, they just have an extra chromosone. They have two X’s chromosones AND a Y because both the red trait[dominant] and the Black trait[recessive] are caried on X chromosones. That makes him part girl with chromosones X X Y. If you have a male calico, it’s not worth any extra money and it doesn’t have more expensive babies. The best thing to do is to neuter him. Male calicos carry many genetic disorders, most of which are not ALWAYS fatal, but some can be. You can’t make extra money off these kittens, all though you can make some, only the normal amount that kittens are worth.
So in conclusion, keep your male calico for bragging rights.
And think only 1 in 3,000 are like your boy. :]
Fix your cat and make money some other way. In fact, here’s an idea: the time you would have spent trying to "stud" your cat, how about you spend that time volunteering at a local animal shelter where there are insane numbers of cats who need homes.
Please don’t be a part of the problem just because you’re greedy.
Yes males are rare, but you need to get him neutered. you should not have challenged her, and you should have had him neutered anyway. Find really good homes for those kittens. Homes that will not put them in shelters. There are too many animals waiting in the shelters to be adopted, and even more being put down.
Are you sure HE is a true calico??? You may want to do some research because calico coat colors do not usually occur in the male cat and when they do there are usually many birth defects and more often than not they do not survive the first few days of life.
When it dies.. Stuff it and sell it on ebay! It will be worth like $5 because it is 1 in 3000. What ODDS.. Lucky duck
Only females are true Calico.
Do not stud it. Males are born very rarely of that type of cat nd they crry a lot of diseases. you should go to the vet and have your cat checked out for every possible disease. Then you should neuter him.
There’s a reason there are hardly any male calicos. They carry a ton of genetic diseases. I currently have three litters of foster kittens from my local shelter because people didn’t have their cats spayed and neutered. Even with me taking as many kittens as I could, more are being euthanized every day. PLEASE get your cat neutered. His offspring will likely not be healthy, and even if they are, they’re taking homes away from kittens in need.
