I brushed my cat with a brush with metal bristles. I brushed too hard, and HELP!?!?
I brushed my cat too hard, and it isn’t HORRIBLE , but my cat has some raw skin and her fur is thinning in some spots! I feel absolutely horrible because I love this cat very much. Do i just leave it alone to heal??

If it is a fairly superficial wound, meaning it is a light scratch. Just let it heal. You can try some neosporin, just do not allow her to lick the spot. Keep an eye on it, but a very superficial wound is not that big of a deal. If you are still concerned in a day or 2, then please have your vet hospial take a peak.

Do what the first person told you, and NEVER use that type of brush again. They’re awful, and it’s easy to hurt them. They do make rubber tipped brushes that work really well.
Putting some anibacterial oinment on the areas, just a thin coat.
They make these dog and cat brushes that are soft and shaped like a cat with thick rubber inch long nubbs. These get tons of fur when brushing. They come in pink and blue. They have them at petco or petsmart. Good luck
I think u should take it to your local Vet place
It could just be a scratch, or she could be getting mange. if your cat looses fur, and the skin shows and it’s all wrinkly. then take her to the vet.
This happened to me years ago when I was brushing our short haired tabby cat. I know, I felt really bad too just like you. If it is any consolation, Daisy made it through just fine. I kept the area clean and applied Neosporin to it. I learned a valuable lesson and never used those awful metal bristle brushes again. Hope your cat is on the mend soon!
