Oh, Goddd. This is a perfect example of why NEVER to take the advice of Yahoo people for medical situations, including flea infestations! The knowledge of the Yahoo community in general re: fleas is frankly laughable, and stuck in the 18th century.
Do not apply Diatomaceous Earth to animals. Ouchy as well as useless. Return the bag if you can and buy and actual useful flea treatment, i.e. from a vets. NOT petstore stuff, it doesn’t work, and NOT ‘home remedies’ like this or salt or dish soap or any of the other nonsense people on here suggest. Until you stop wasting money on this stuff and invest in something that’s actually designed for fleas (they require specific chemicals, they are not easily killed) I guarantee the fleas will be laughing at you, metaphorically.
Chalice
Don’t apply it to the animal. Forget Dia Earth and get a flea treatment that works, like Frontline or Advantage. You can spread the Dia Earth around the yard, its messy in the house. look up "flea treatment diatomaceous earth" on the web.
