How will my cat reach her litter box at night?
So my 2 month old kitten will sleep in my bed at night and the litter box is 7 feet away, the only problem is, is how is she going to jump down from my bed it is maybe 2.5 feet high and get back up after she’s done, also how do I make sure the litter box smell doesn’t invade my room?
Thanks
I actually am getting him tomorrow and yes he is neutered.

First, the jumping – she won’t have a problem jumping down, and if you provide a "step" between the floor and the bed, she won’t have a problem getting up (by three months, she won’t need the step). The "step" could be a box, a stack of books, a stool, etc….
Second…litter box smell – scoop it out at least once a day, and once a week, empty all the litter and clean the box with soap and water – that should do it. You can buy a litter deodorizer if you want. Also – there are many kinds of litter out there – some are better with the smell than others, so if the one you are using now stinks a bit, even with daily scooping and weekly box cleaning, consider switching to another brand. My cat uses Tidy Cats for Multiple Cats – it works great for her and us.
Your kitten will be able to jump off the bed with ease, and she’ll use her claws to climb back up. As for the litter smell, clean it every day, and use a litter box with a lid and filter, it will keep the smell down.
Kittens will naturally use a litter box. Climbing in and out of bed is easy with those sharp little claws. Clean the litter box daily and try to scoop every time you see poop.
It depends on the kitten. Sometimes they aren’t comfortable jumping from high areas just yet. Have you seen her jump off & climb back up? If not, she will probably meow until you wake up, or just curl up somewhere and sleep.
As far as the litter box goes, just make sure you keep it clean. Scoop it every time she goes, or at least several times a day, especially for feces. When she poops, you will smell it. But as long as you keep the box clean, there shouldn’t be any lingering odor.
Kittens are just learning their litter box habits still, and will often get feces on their feet while learning how to dig. You might have to partially bathe her, just use warm water from the sink to rinse off her paws when this happens.
if shes 2 months old she should be ok with it. if not maybe have her sleep in a bed on the floor next to your bed.
Honestly, no matter how clean you keep the litter box or what brand of litter you use, when kitty gets older it will probably smell. Eventually you will want to move it to a better spot. Nothing like being sound asleep when full grown kitty decides to take a healthy poop! Also, if you don’t spay/neuter your pet the urine will smell (and males will spray your room.) As far as the little kitten getting on and off your bed, he/she will use tiny claws and your bedspread as a ladder. They’re so cute when they’re this little…especially when they pounce down!
Keep the litter box scooped out at least once or twice a day (especailly after a bowel movement).
At 2 months old, they are pretty capable of climbing up and down things. But if it makes you feel better, if you have a small chair or table, etc that you can put by the bed the kitten probably will use it (especially if you kinda show/lure the kitten up and down a few times).
I wouldn’t worry about it too much.
I got my cat when she was 2 months old. And she could really jump. I would imagine your cat should be able to get up. My cat is now 7 years old, lazy-ish, and kind of overweight. But she still jumps up to my bed which is like 4 feet high. If you want her to have ultimate comfort, but she just doesn’t seem able to get up to your bed, buy/make a cat bed for her, or you could even put a little stool or something next to your bed. She will figure out how to use it and she will definately be able to make it from there.
As for the litter, I wouldn’t keep it in your room. There is going to be a smell no matter what you do. But to help with the smell, but scented litter, it helps get rid of the odours. And make sure you change the litterbox frequently. For one kitten, you should only have to change it about once a week and maybe use a litter pooper-scooper to clear the pan every other day.
Have fun with your kitten! They are amazing.
don’t worry she will do it and for the litter box just keep it clean
Don’t worry once she finds it then u wont have to worry about it…
Steps to a Clean and Odor-free Litter Box
You should have one litter box per cat in your household.
Use a good quality scoop-able cat litter (after your cat reaches 6 months old).
Scoop out the clumps every day, even if you just have one cat.
Wipe box down with a little bleach and water after each scooping to kill germs and bacteria.
Keep your litter level at about 2-3” deep, even if you have to add a little bit every two or three days after scooping.
Each week, completely empty your litter box and replace with fresh litter. Do this even if your cat litter says it doesn’t ever need to be replaced! You have to keep germs and bacteria out, not just odors.
Each week, wash the litter box and lid with hot soapy water and a little bleach and dry thoroughly before refilling with litter. When you do this, also clean the litter scoop!
Clean the area around your litter box with hot soapy water and a little bleach.
And now the answer for your other question. You need to wait until your kitty is older to sleep with you .Do you want to wake up with poop in your bed ? I would just put your kitten in a nice sized box that has enough room for your litter box to fit in during the times that you are sleeping. She is too small to be attempting to jump off of your bed,she could injury herself.
