How to stop my cats from using my bed as a scratching post?
My cats have a scratching post or "kitty condo" but they never use it! They seem to always use the side of my bed as a scratching post…. how can i get them to stop?

My husbands recliner took the same stride to the dumpster. I am a cat breeder/shower..so I am entirely against declawing due to my own ethics and show standards. So..with 4 kitties in the house I had to think of something fast. I put double sided tape on the chair and the cats hated having their paws stick to it. My husband also made a very inexpensive scratching post that is bare wood because my cats like scratching on that surface. They also have the kitty nail caps that you glue on the tips (think press on nails) and it keeps them from tearing up the surface. They run about $20 a pack at Petco. However, I would suggest using colored ones so you can see when they grow out. I have also sprayed my furniture with citrus cleaning spray..most cats hate that smell. I would try to steer clear of velcro personally because I would not want their nail to get stuck and hurt them. I hope this helps.
put some catnip on the scratching post
Put Velcro or felt on it, so they can’t scratch it.
My cats used to do that…spray them with a water bottle if you can catch them in the act of scratching your bed..and put some cat nip on the kitty condo..
Good luck
try getting them a scratching post and scolding them for using your bed for one
