how to prevent my cat from climbing treesm which he gets stuck in.?

i live near a lane and my cat climbs up this 1 tree, which is the tallest there and he cannot get down. he has been up the tree 4 times in a few months. the past few times he was stuck, we had to get a ladder from our neighbour to reach him as arent werent big enough. it takes about 5 minutes to carry to ladder to where he is, which is annoyin.
iv tried to entince him down with food but he still doesnt come down. i was wondering if there is anything i can do to stop him climbing the tree, bearing in mind the tree isnt mine. any help is appreiciated.

If you don’t like your cat in a tree. Don’t let him outside…
If your still going to let him out he will still be stuck in a tree…
Mean time he will climb down when he wants too…
Leave your cat indoors to prevent him been stuck in a damn tree…
,anti-sprays,for the sensitive noses of cats look around in pet stores for them, or evrytime its on a tree spray it with water mists,like when we spray when ironing,do it continously,then after once or twice they get the idea,thts how we get our kittens to stay out of the dining room, or if ur area is somewht safe from dogs and huge rats ,u cud hav ur cat declawed a little till its discouraged
Tie a barrier around the trunk of the tree, at about your eye level, a peice of metal would be best..a cat must have all paws on the tree as it climbs, once one paw looses footing, the cat will jump off…leave this barrier up for about 2 weeks..once the cat sees its not getting anywhere, it will stop trying..and the barrier can be removed
well i would ask who ever the tree belongs to if you can put butter around the tree because if you do that ever so often the cat will slip. it may also attract bugs but maybe if your cat messes with them it would make your cat not want to climb it anymore. if that doesn’t help sorry.

there isn’t anything you can really do about stopping him from going up a tree he obviously likes. it sounds as if your cat is playing a game with you.
Ive seen a cat flip from halfway down a tree to the ground without any problems and I’ve also seen a cat jump from branch to branch. They’re born acrobats so you shouldn’t worry about him getting *stuck* up the tree.
Next time he gets up the tree just ignore him and he’ll come down on his own. It sounds cruel but he’s a CAT
There really isnt such a thing as a cat getting stuck up a tree, just the human wanting the cat out of the tree NOW and not when it wants to come down. Dont make a fuss next time and he’ll come home when he’s hungry.
hi: don’t think u can keep the cat from climbing , that is his nature. the old saying here in USA is you’ve never seen a cat skeleton in a tree. good luck.
Sometimes if you hiss when a cat is doing something/going somewhere you don’t like, they won’t want to be near/do what you don’t want them to. I have pet kittens who live in my basement and like to go near the sub pump, which has a rickety lid. They haven’t gone near it since i ‘hissed’ at them when they were over there.
