Hi, i have recently done this with my bunny.
i put the litter tray in the place her normally does the toilet.
(it was in a little cage thing lined with hay to poo on
and i took out the hay and put the litter tray there)
try taking some of his earlier poos(as fresh as possible)
and put them in the litter tray.
There are litter boxes that attach to the cage wire. Try finding one and see if it’s useful. But there are some bunnies that are just about impossible to litter box train. I’ve always found my female rabbits to be more difficult, and the guys always got it right the first time. (I guess the females are just more set in their ways lol).
You buy a litter box and put aspen wood chips in it. Place it where your rabbit seams to be using the bathroom the most. You could also put some hay in it so they will go and eat and know that it is fine. ( Change the hay every day)
You cant its a bunny they poop every were
1. If he is old enough, have him fixed
2. make sure the box is heavy enough he can’t knock it over.
3. If you have a wire bottom cage, cover it. rabbits don’t like to sit in their own filth. If it passes through the wire, why would he use the box?
here’s an article with lots of info http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/litter.html
