my cat has no problem taking his toys out of his toy basket we have under our coffee table, but never puts them back. And always brings out more, especially like at night or when i’m not home cause he wants to play. He brings them out with his mouth and carries them
around the house.
Anyway, how can i teach him to put his toys away?

i dont know like i know you can train a cat to use the toilet and flush it right? like you see on movies? or are those fake? but their are pets that can like help blind, open fridges, and get you a soda or something…i know that
if i had to guess….you would have to teach it threw different tricks…like maybe fetch, and then call you pet over when it grabs the toy and then teach it to place it or drop it in the box…basically the fetch and give command…the give command is him giving you the toy…except try to teach him to drop it…
so when ever it takes a toy out, tell it to fetch, and stand by its toy box and have it drop it in the box if you can…its kinda complicated though…i never done it so i dont know but do something like that…oh yeah and when ever it drops it in the box give it a treat…and i dont know if this will work but when it drops it, say a different phrase like "put toy away" and then reward it…i dont know…its sounds really hard, and i dont know if your cat will realize that your having it put it in a box..then just come by you and drop its toy by you…
but yeah seems very complicated…but i guess its worth a shot…you know what people say…nothings impossible…but yeah other then that i dont know, but atleast try to teach it fetch…so instead of you go grab its toys, it goes and gets you his toys and then you put it away
yeah sorry if i typed a lot and it didnt make sense…
and i forget if i said this but you could teach it that it doesnt own its toys, so instead of it grabbing its toys, you could give him his toys when he wants it…and yeah you just gotta say "no!" or something when it grabs a toy…but dont yell
That’s what you’re there for… to serve the cat. Don’t worry. He’ll have you trained in no time to put the toys back in the box so he can amuse himself by pulling them out.
Thats what they are there for. Surely it’s better to play with them than ignore them.
i am sorry but you really cant train a cat to that kind of thing….i wish you could though..that would be AWESOME
i am sorry i wish i could of helped
I can’t get my kids to put their toys away and you think a cat can be trained? LOL
Enjoy your cat.
LOL now I wonder if dogs are trained to do that?
